Wonderful large room with great amenities

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Large room, great location, beautiful!
Cons: Valet parking - computers down and guys were overwhelmed and couldn't find keys...long wait.
Location: Beautiful location, near lots of great hiking trails!
Very large and roomy with a drink chiller, microwave, coffeepot, dishes, etc. Beautiful setting! Great breakfast outside on the patio. Very helpful staff. Loved the experience and will be back!

Overpriced hotel next to busy road.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Very noisy with steep road. There was no air conditioning, so we opened the door to the balcony which just made the cars/trucks going up the road that much louder. Clean, but DARK. Hard to put on makeup dark--forget about reading. For the price, this was a BIG disappointment. If a friend were going to stay here, I would advise asking for a room away from the road.

Great Hotel on the Slopes

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: On the slope, close to rental shops, ski valet, 3 hottubs, quiet comfortable rooms, complementary wine.
Cons: Have a real refrigerator rather than a beverage refrigerator. Complementary parking.
Location: A few restaurants & shops are near the hotel. Most restaurants, shop's/grocery's & gas are located in town. There's snowmobiling & bike rentals too.
The hotel was very nice and a very short walk to the slopes. The hotel is very close to the rental shops too. The king room that my family had was the perfect size, although the kitchenette was a little smaller than we expected and the refrigerator was a beverage fridge so we had to keep larger items in the cooler on the balcony. The rooms were quiet and the beds comfortable, so we were able to get a good night's sleep. The WiFi worked well so we were all able to connect when we wanted too. We really liked having the ski valet, and the pool/sauna/hot tubs. We didn't use the gym or the spa, although the gym was very well equipped. The wine/cider/cookie hour was great! We got to meet some of the other guests and have a couple glasses of wine and my son had a few cookies. The parking is a little limited and they do charge extra for it. I'd definitely recommend booking this hotel.

Ski In / Ski out Crested Butte

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Great location for skiing Crested Butte. Beware, however! When I paid Expedia for the hotel, I thought my stay was paid for. I was hit with an extra fee of about 20% more at check-out for a "Resort Fee". This was unknown to me when I made the reservation, & I feel that Expedia did a poor job of disclosing fees. I was also shocked to learn of the profit margin of over 30% by Expedia- they could do much better for their customers. I would recommend the hotel but suggest you look for a better travel service than Expedia!
