Comfortable quiet rooms. Very clean & spacious. Comfortable beds. This was our second time staying at the Elevation. Would consider staying there again.

Disappointed

Posted Apr 6, 2015
We stayed here last summer and had a wonderful stay. However, this time the staff was rude. We had asked for a dog bed to be brought to the room and it was never sent. Their was a yapping dog that woke us up at 5am. We did change rooms but wanted to be on the same floor as our daughter. The hotel was not full and they didn't accommodate us. This is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel. However, our dog had a accident in the lobby which we quickly cleaned and one staff member was rude and didn't offer to help. She made rude comments to my husband as he was cleaning. We won't be staying here again.

everything about this hotel was wonderful. The restaurant had a very limited selection but as far as a hotel for ski in and ski out it was perfect.

Awesome Location

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Hot tubs and proximity to the ski lifts and the price per night
Cons: The restaurant and bar could be better
Location: Ski! Ski! Did I mention Ski?
Quiet, Clean, loads of amenities... Snag a ride on the free bus that runs from Mt Crested Butte to the town every 15 minutes. Many options for food and fun on Elk ave!

A few steps to the slopes!

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Complimentary wine reception every evening!
Location: Pre-ski breakfast at Brown Lab Pub/Bakery or Camp 4 Coffee at base. Great burritos at Teocalli Tamale. Fabulous homemade ice cream at Third Bowl.
Great location, friendly staff, beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen area, great balconies if you get a room with a good view. Indoor pool is warm and fun. Outdoor hot tubs with view of the mountain are great! Nice fitness room with plenty of treadmills and weightlifting options. Walk out the door to the base or take the free shuttle from the base into town.

Crested Butte ski trip

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Quiet room, easy lift access, convenient to the town of Crested Butte. The room was nicely sized for a family of 4 with a balcony to enjoy the weather
Cons: The room smelled damp and musty, needs to be remedied for the hotel to rate a 5. No room fan so I would add a feature to provide for white noise.
Location: Excellent dining and outdoor activities.
Stayed at the Elevation Hotel and Spa for 2 nights over Spring Break 2015. Easy access to the lifts and friendly staff made this room ideal.

Hotel overpromises- Good, but not great!

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: ski valet staff was pleasant
Cons: clearer description of room size clearer disclosure of any fees
Location: at base of Mt. Crested Butte
This hotel is in a great location. It is a few hundred yards from the base area. They offer ski valet, which is very handy, as you enter the hotel. Be prepared to pay additional fees when you complete your booking. There is a resort fee, and you'll also pay $20 per night for parking. In the info you receive, there is a card that explains the resort fee. This is where they overpromise on the amenities. Do not expect to have a complimentary shuttle provided by the hotel. When we were there, the owner of the hotel used the shuttle for his personal use, and it was not available for guests. The town of Crested Butte provides a free shuttle from the base area to the town, so the hotel just pushes the guests to use it. Also, they do have a nightly wine tasting. They serve wine and cheese cubes with crackers. The wine comes in plastic cups or really small wine glasses, so don't expect a quality experience. The room we booked had a king bed and a sleeper sofa. It should be labeled as a hotel room, as the bed and couch are right next to each other. The room was relatively small, and with ski gear and bags, it's somewhat crowded for a family of four. The hotel is nice and clean. Parking is a pain because the building was not designed to handle full sized SUVs with rocket boxes. You can self park around the back in an outside parking lot, or use the valet. The problem with that is getting stuff from your car when you need it.
