“Lodge at Mountaineer Square”

A very nice place. We had a one bedroom, two bath unit with a pull-out couch for our son. The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is a fairly new place, so the units are in great shape. They are attractively decorated with wood and stone accents. It is centrally located within the base area of Mt. Crested Butte, so shops, restaurants, the town bus stop, and other amenities are all steps away. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

“Great Place to Stay”

The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is at the perfect location in Crested Butte. Right at the base of the lifts and about 100 ft from the free bus station that takes you to the town of Crested Butte. The hotel is very new and clean. There is a nice outdoor hot tub and a heated indoor/outdoor pool. There is indoor parking available and the service was great. Overall, I was very happy with my stay. I will definitely go back.

Beautiful accommodation, loved the convenience of the kitchen for relaxed breakfasts. Cozy bedroom with luxurious bath. Just a lovely experience.

The hotel was great. The rooms were extremely clean and the bathroom was quite large for a hotel. The jacuzzi area was great.. The town provides a free shuttle service up the mountain which we took advantage of. The bus stop was literally right outside our hotel.

Modern hotel with very friendly staff. Surrounded by beautiful trails and mountains. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Dining options on the mountain are not as great as in the town of Crested Butte but Djangos restaurant in the hotel is excellent.

“Truly Extraordinary Room & Value”

Just finished tour through Colorado's western slope, and surprised to find Lodge at Mountaineer Square was the most comfortable and best value of our pretty high end choices of stays in several communities. We had an executive suite at a terrific price point, and the room was luxuriously appointed and with a complete and unobtrusive elegant "kitchenette" counter (frankly never seen such a high end version of this, with every convenience and lovely appointments) and even washer/dryer closet. I'd give the room a 10 out of 10 and I am a very tough grader with high expectations! My sole annoyance that seems universal: your charges do NOT include a hefty $20 parking fee that I don't recall being mentioned anywhere. This seems more common than not, but grrr....

“Beautiful Mountain Village”

The Mountaineer is a wonderful property located in Mountain Village. In mid-July, we enjoyed a three night stay in room 513. It has a small balcony with amazing views of the mountain. The room was large with lots of closet space and very comfortable! It is steps from the Silver Queen & Red Lady lifts and an on site Transit Center that has buses running to town every 20 minutes. There was live music at the base area every night and an Adventure Center with childrens activities. We came to see the wild flowers and hike in the area. The wild flowers were amazing! The hike to the top of Mount Crested Butte is short but moderate and the view is unbelievable. Crested Butte is an extra hour and a half further than the Front Range ski resorts, but has a unique charm and beauty that makes it a really special destination.

This was a fantastic place to stay--one of the cleanest and nicest rooms I have stayed in. The decor is wonderful and the ammenities are great. Although the bed looks very comfy and inviting, it was a little stiff. Minor complaint for such a nice place to stay.
