Good location for my needs

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Staff was very friendly
Cons: Not very practical but a pool would be great. When a family of four is in the hot tub area, there is nothing else to do (swim in the pool while wait)
Location: Good central location for climbing 14ers near Lake City or Ouray, with better prices.
Room was very clean & comfortable. Older style TV. Hot tub could be a little cleaner, too much foam on top of water. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Lots of selection, plenty of hot food. Good coffee. No tea.

Very pleasant stay.

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Location: Plenty of lake fun and hiking nearby. Also, plenty of choices for dining out nearby.
We stayed for 3 nights and the staff could not have been nicer. They always had a smile on their face and were very friendly. The rooms were spotless and everything in perfect working order. The 1 story structure allows for a very quiet room. This where we will stay for future visits.

Nice motel only mile from Gunnison

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: That it was quiet and we got a good nights sleep.
Location: The motel is a mile from Gunnison and there are a lot of nice places to eat.
The motel is a single story building. It was clean and comfortable. We will be staying there again. They offer a very nice breakfast.

Great location outside of town and off highway.

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Everything.
This was a great stay during our week long vacation in a series of motels across CO and UT. Excellent rooms and their location off the highway made for a very quiet environment. The included breakfast was great considering the very low prices we got on the room. Clearly the owners take pride in their motel. I would go out of my way to stay here again if I were in the area.

Hot Tub accomidated

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Manager was accomidating and looked to please his customers.
Cons: Change hours of Hot Tub Use. If manager would not have been accomidating for us we would not wanted to stay again. Game changers for us!
Location: Decent could be closer to town but quite!
We first noted that the hotel was clean and comfortable to be in. One thing I would say is that the hot tub hours are not good. For us this was a definate issue as we enjoy getting up in the morning and starting our day in our hot tub everyday and looked to do this at this location as well. Hours of 3- 10 pm not good for one that wants to use in the am. Management were very accomidating and looke to do what every they could to work with us the customer.

Great Value, Safe and Clean

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Very clean for an older motel, the rooms were bigger than expected, our rooms had been recently remodeled and the desk manager was very accommodating. The motel has a "mom and pop" kind of feel and the location is out on the west side of Gunnison, but we had 2 large, comfortable, clean rooms with a good breakfast for 2 nights very reasonably priced while we skied Monarch Pass, perfect. I would stay there again.

Best hotel in Gunnison

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Very clean!
Location: Hike at the Hartman Rock, cross country skiing, fishing, snow mobiling, drive 20 miles to Crested Butte for downhill skiing (well worth the trouble!)
Wonderful, extremely clean, great breakfast, unbeatable value! Will stay here again. Highly recommended.

A good value, clean and tidy motel.

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, tidiness and helpful owner manager.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: You do need a car to get around, Gunnison is a small town, but has plenty of facilities/ eateries to keep you going for a few days.
I stayed at the Rodeway for three nights during Feb '14 whilst riding Crested Butte mountain resort. The facilities were clean, tidy and very well maintained. The owner/operators were very helpful and friendly. I tend to stay in cheaper hotels/motels when I can, so on occasion I find myself in a grubby, dodgy place, but for the price the Rodeway is excellent value, it is out on the highway so about 8 mins drive to town centre resturants etc. So you would need to drive to go out to eat or shop rather than being able to walk. This is the only downside, if you could call it one. I happily recommend this place and would stay there again if travelling that way.
