Substandard

Pros: The pool was acceptable
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Close tk the stadium, otherwise a poor location
First the acceptable. This hotel looks like it has potential. ..when you drive up. It is a relatively large impresive and relatively new looking hotel. It has a decent pool which is currently the best I'm Guyana. There is also a small new movie theater in the complex. Now for the u acceptable. It is way overpriced....from the hotel rates to the food. The food is at best average. The hotel is located next to the stadium which is a plus only if your going to a stadium event otherwise it is long taxi ride to Georgetown (resturants and clubs and sbopping). The hotel itself is poorly constructed (doors and widows have gaps) and the rooms are noisy. The staff vary from incompetent to rude and the service is quite simply terrible. Apparently tbe staff are not trained and are poorly paid. There is a "casino" but it is poorly run and is only worth the effort if you hqve never been in a casino before. Bottomline stay somewhere else in Georgetown and if you must swim come and visit the Princess for the pool. I suspect this hotel will either go out of business or will have to seriously upgrade once the new Marriott is finished. If you visit Georgetown before that bappens consider staying at the Sleepinn Hotel.....it is half the price and spotless and convenient to the city.

Overpriced & overrated.

Pros: Cinema
Cons: Food
Location: Convenient as away from all the traffic of Georgetown & on the way to the airport although only one road so traffic can build up.
The quality of everything is lacking in this hotel. It's noisy & uncomfortable. Nothing works & I mean nothing!

Hotel is poor condition. But you cannot find better one at Georgetown, Guyana. But, service is okay and kind.
