Rate inclueded nice breakfast which saved us from eating out.

“It depends”

This is a bed and breakfast at a great location (right on Grote Markt, medieval town square in Haarlem). Its staff were nice and helpful. The downside is that the hotel badly needs to be kept up and renovated. The entrance to the hotel and the room we stayed in had a bad smell. The room was cleaned daily and quite well; the old carpeting and building materials used were the cause of the smell. Our room had no telephone, but a telephone directory.
