Excellent accommodationPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort and staff
Location: Within easy walking distance to the town with its many historic buildings, markets and shopping.
We recently stayed in this hotel and were very impressed with the accommodation. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and happy to store our luggage for the day and advise transport options. Highly recommended.

enjoyed our stay at carton square hotel we had a junior suite which was beyond expectations. it was further away from amsterdam city centre than we thought but due to a very good bus service it didnt spoil our stay. would reccomend the hotel to friends

Lovely hotel,Very convenient for city centrePosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff, in great location, beautiful decor and maintenance.
Cons: Price of breakfast was not included in our deal and was 18 euros per person -far too expensive.
Location: Harlem is a small city with churches, museums, parks, great shops, restaurants, ice cream parlours, canals and cruises and a windmill all within reach.
We had an excellent time in Harlem. It is a more personal and compact version of Amsterdam. The hotel room was so quiet and comfortable and the hotel itself was welcoming, modern and nicely decorated well within walking distance of most places of interest. At first we thought that the only downside for us was that it was at the opposite end of the city from the Railway station, but then we discovered that the bus service to and from Schipol and Amsterdam was regular efficient and closeby to the hotel. You can find very reasonable cafes close by for breakfast and lots of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel if you find the hotel prices too high. We would certainly love to return here.

City BreakPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Convenience. Staff helpful.
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: Cycling to beach, restaurants, shops
Comfortable hotel. Rooms/bathroom good. Air-conditioning unit extremely noisy/not efficient, which was rather inconvenient, as had to keep windows open and with seagulls right by window, rather noisy!!!!!

Nice hotel in Haarlem close to all the shops.Posted Jun 29, 2014
This hotel is wonderful, although we had some problems arriving in regards to our room type. However the deputy manager, van I think. He was very helpful and gave us a little gesture for the issues that were raised. Great customer service, I and my husband hope to visit the hotel again.

Pros: Friendly staff. Rooms so clean.
Location: Haarlem is an experience in itself - town has character and canals, shops and restaurants. Market square bustling with life and various activities
Carlton provided a quiet place to return to after a busy day sight seeing in Amsterdam.
