A PLEASANT SURPRISE

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: We liked everything about it, we wouldn't change anything other than a cheaper price, but U get what U pay for here .
Cons: I have no complaints.
Location: WE LEFT RIGHT AFTER BREAKFAST AS WE HAD A LONG WAY TO TRAVEL THE NEXT DAY SO DIDN'T SHOP OR VISIT IN THIS AREA.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived in Hagerstown with our granddaughter to spend the knight. we had just driven almost 700 miles and were tired on our way back to Canada. The front desk people were very friendly and when we arrived at our room, we found a spacious large room with 2 Queen beds. The bathroom was a good size and very neat & clean as was our beds. A flat screen TV was there and the air conditioner worked fine. the next morning we had a great continental breakfast with a great variety of foods. We would recommend this hotel to anybody, it was a little more costly than a couple we had stayed in earlier but it was worth it. The next time we visit our daughter in Georgia we will stay at this hotel. We were completely satisfied with everything about it.

Pleasant Surprise!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
We were really surprised with the quality and cleanliness of the room. No problems with check in, very nice. Definitely would stop again! Walked over to the local brewpub, it was really good, too. Many dining options within walking distance.

The king size bed was very comfy!

Pros: Very nice accommodations, friendly staff, comfortable and clean.
It was a little disappointing to find out I could have gotten a better rate directly with AAA discount.

Acommodations

Pros: Adult friendly rooms while accomodating a pet. Staff
Cons: Not much for the price and convenience.
Location: Stayed in Hagerston MD. Not interested in things to do nearby.
Personnel were very friendly and professional. Accomodations that included provisions for our 16 pound dog were great. We've stayed at Days Inn in the past because they accepted pets. Always got stuck in the corner somewhere. Not pleasant for adults. Thank you Comfort Inn.

Comfort Inn & Suites

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and Staff. Room was clean, but still had a cleaner/chemical smell.
Cons: OK, this is not the hotel's fault, but don't be discouraged by the out of business in front of the hotel. There was kind of a strange smell in room.
This hotel was a stopover for us, we enjoyed the breakfast and friendly staff. Don't be afraid of the Out of business restaurant in front of the hotel. When we 1st drove up we thought the hotel had gone out of business.

Thank you for posting your review of the Comfort Inn. We struggle constantly with the effects of the vacant building in front of the hotel, but since it isn't owned by the hotel, we are limited in what we can do about it. We are so happy you decided to take a chance on us. That you for your business. Sincerely, Barb Estrada

I am so sorry to hear that the night staff was not warm and welcoming when you arrived. This is unacceptable, and I will speak to them immediately about their poor customer service skills. You're right, there are lots of hotel choices in Hagerstown, and I'm sorry we are losing a customer because of our lack of common courtesy. Please accept my apology. Sincerely, Barb Estrada

It's ok.

Smelled a bit. Descent breakfast though. Nice to have laundry access. Work out room is musty and lacking. Kind of a creepy location behind a vacant restaurant. Would try another hotel next time, but, would stay again for a quick overnight if need be.

Just passing through.

Pros: Pleasant desk personnel. Nice room.
Cons: The exterior seemed a bit run down and dated.
Location: The location seemed a little sketchy, but the hotel is on a main drag with plenty of options for eating and shopping. Very convenient.
Stayed here for one night while traveling through the area on vacation. The price was right. The common areas of the hotel and the exterior were a little beat up and the neighborhood seemed slightly sketchy, but not inordinately so. The room itself was clean and well-appointed, and the television and wifi worked as did the heating/cooling system. I only dealt with one staff member who was manning the desk when I arrived, and she was very pleasant and competent. I would stay there again for a one-nighter.
