“Not impressed, except for the breakfast”
O.K. for the price, but not what I would expect for a three star hotel.
“comfortable”
It was a very comfortable palace to stay and had good rates for the quality received.
“"Old and Tired"”
The best part of our stay was the staff. They were friendly and tried very hard to please. However, the hotel has seen better days and does not deserve a 3 star rating. The hallways look old and dirty, the rugs are scruffy, and the glass in the outside doorway leading to our hallway was partially broken. Our bathtub tap ran constantly and could not be turned off. Although the hotel was practically empty, we were initially placed in a room facing highway noise until we requested a change. It met our needs for one night's accomodation as we were passing through quickly; however, I would not choose this hotel for a longer stay. Major renovation is needed in all areas.
“Will not be back”
Needs updating, corridors etc very dirty
“Fitness Room under repair”
Either Expedia or the Hotel was misleading..... when I went on-line, I was lured into the "40% off" listings. As those of you know who blind purchase these discounted hotel rates, the amenities are listed. Bad on this hotel or Expedia for listing Fitness Room when it was under repairs. The front desk told me I could use the nearby community college but they were closed for the weekend. I finally asked where a neighboring YMCA was and they gave me wrong directions.
“not impressed”
Although the lobby was very nice, the hallways were dark and smelled of mold. The ice machines could not be used--you had to go to the kitchen for ice. There was no refrigerator in the room. I had reserved a room that allowed smoking, but they did not have that on the reservation, and none were available.
“Average”
We especially liked that the beds had light blankets. In many cases the comforters are too warm, and the sheets not enough. Food was decent, but they were out of salmon. Free breakfast was a plus. Could order all but 2 items from the menu. No indoor pool or jacuzzi a minus.
“Great breakfast with nice dining atmosphere”
Great value and very nice people in this part of the country.
“Half way stop”
Stayed one night at this hotel at the beginning and end of a trip to SC. It's about half way to Charlotte. It's an older place; carpet is beat; bathroom old but the bed was clean and comfy and the room was quiet. No hallway noise or disruptions so we got a good night's sleep. Breakfast is order off the menu full service. My husband said his eggs (over easy) were perfect...good value and much nicer than the "toast your own bagel" breakfasts that the chains offer. We'd stay there again.
“Hagerstown's Unknown Gem”
At first glance, Hagerstown Hotel and Conference Center looks a bit deserted but I think its a gem that many are not aware of. The Lobby is modern, the staff is friendly and you get bang for your buck when you stay there. The rooms are large- the television a bit outdated but still worth the price. Most of all breakfast was amazing. I'd definitely return. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
