“Older Outdated Hotel but Convenient and Inexpensiv”

The hotel is older and outdated. It was a decent place, that wasn't very expensive compared to the other hotels in the area, to lay your head on a pillow at night. If I was staying in the area for vacation for a week, I would not choose to stay at this place. But just spending an hour or so in the room in the evening before going to sleep, it was fine.

“HORRIBLE!!!!!”

When I arrived at the hotel they did not have an elevator, and I had to haul my 2 larges bags up the stairs. Then when I opened the door, the beds were unmade, their was a food container with old food on the desk, and all the towels were dirty. Had a horrible experience!!!

“Not worth the cost savings. Stay at the Hampton.”

This hotel's hallways smelled like cigarette smoke immediately upon entering the building. While the staff was wonderfully accommodating the bathtub tile enclosure was disgusting. Mold attempted to be covered with caulk and the towels were small and thin. We will never stay there again.

“Handicapped BEWARE”

The staff at the hotel was very good and they were quick to assist you. My beef with the hotel and I use that word lightly, as there is no elevator and it is not handicapped friendly. In order to get to the lobby, you had to go outside because of the steps. There are no ramps and I can not understand how the government is letting them get away with it. If you are using a wheelchair, walker or cane, I would find another motel. I had just had hip replacement and requested a room near the lobby, wrong; I had to go down one long hallway, turn right and then go part way down another hall. Also, if you watch TV at all, forget it, I think they may have had about 8 channels that you could see. I will never go back to this motel.

“Not impressed, except for the breakfast”

O.K. for the price, but not what I would expect for a three star hotel.

“"Old and Tired"”

The best part of our stay was the staff. They were friendly and tried very hard to please. However, the hotel has seen better days and does not deserve a 3 star rating. The hallways look old and dirty, the rugs are scruffy, and the glass in the outside doorway leading to our hallway was partially broken. Our bathtub tap ran constantly and could not be turned off. Although the hotel was practically empty, we were initially placed in a room facing highway noise until we requested a change. It met our needs for one night's accomodation as we were passing through quickly; however, I would not choose this hotel for a longer stay. Major renovation is needed in all areas.

“No thanks.”

The hotel smelled like an old library. The walls in the hallway were dirty and there were old mini-fridges piled up in the halls. The internet did not work. The pool was not open and it was Memorial Day weekend AND there were two wedding parties staying at the hotel. A friend tried to check in (past check in time) and her room wasnt ready, so the receptionist promised to call when the room was ready, but never called even though the room had been ready for a while.

“Not Three Stars; Maybe One”

We've traveled extensively and stayed in many different motels/hotels/B&Bs of all types. This was the worst place we've ever stayed. Since we arrived in a pouring rainstorm and my husband was not feeling well, we couldn't walk out and find another place, even if it meant forfeiting what we paid. Our room smelled, the toilet hadn't been cleaned, the A/C was broken, the carpet was wet, the ice machine was broken, wallpaper hung off the walls. In other areas, ceiling tiles were either broken, missing or hanging down. The reception area restrooms were disgusting and overflowing with trash. The staff was very kind and obviously trying to work under difficult conditions. The check-in desk was down to one computer since the other was broken. Most concerning of all is that this motel had an Expedia Rating of 3! We stayed in another motel the previous week in the same area that also had rating of 3, and it was excellent. There was no comparison. We always trust the rating and since we were reserving under one of the mystery rates, we made our decision based solely on the rating. This is nowhere near a 3 rating establishment. The motel's website refers to "top notch accommodations". This is completely incorrect. Again, the staff was very nice. This review is 100% negative because of the condition of the entire motel.
