Too close to the highway and thus too much noise.

Posted May 2, 2015
Had trouble going to sleep and once I woke, it was hard to get back to sleep due to highway traffic noise.

Nice hotel close to Civil War Battlefields

The Microtel rooms were exactly as described online. The staff was extremely professional and nice. I would stay in a Microtel again on my travels.

Good hotel to stay overnight

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Clean, does not have unpleasant smells. Mattresses were fairly comfortable.
Cons: Might you have English muffins for breakfast?
Location: Sorry, we didn't have an opportunity to check the vicinity, because we only travelled by.
My credit card was charged even though I elected to pay later at the hotel. Not a big deal, because I was not going to cancel the trip. But why did I have payment options then, Expedia? And also, hard boiled eggs for breakfast were hard as stones. Never seen eggs like those. I didn't take a chance, but thanks for experience.

Stopover near Hagerstown

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Seemed modern and clean. We were told it had just been renovated.
Cons: Wish the rooms on interstate side were noise-free.
Location: Restaurants accessible enough. Good choice of restaurants a little further South.
Very small rooms. My only problem with this hotel is our room was facing the highway and truck noise is non stop all night long so if you're a light sleeper as I am, you don't sleep very well. Because I had asked for a king bed via Expedia and they are all situated along the noisy section of the hotel, I was not able to change rooms. My suggestion is to ask for two double beds if you're a light sleeper so you can be situated far away from the interstate.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was continental. Not good for low carbs dieters. Booked wrong on expedias end so we had to pay extra for the room we thought we booked.

Very Comfortable

Posted Mar 24, 2015
When we first got there the women at the desk was extremely nice and helpful. The room was a bit small but was very clean. I love the fact that the rooms get very dark which made it better for sleeping. The beds are pillow top beds and was very comfortable. Definitely going there again.

great value

We have stated there many times on our trip south. Will stay there again on the way back. We are a little disappointed that we paid for a stay that we never used due to a snow storm last march. Great stay though.
