“Pierre”
I traveled with my daughter throughout Israel during the month of August, and this hotel was the best we stayed at (we stayed at 3 to 4 stars hotels). It is well located, rooms are spacious, in good condition, and the staff helpful. I can fully recommend it.
“Colony Hotel, Haifa”
I found the accommodations very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering the popularity of the neighborhood. We dined at a nearby restaurant but had breakfast in the hotel. It was excellent - the only complaint being that the espresso/cappuccino machine was out of order, and we could not use it.. I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Haifa.
“great location and comfortable hotel”
We enjoyed our one night stay at the Colony Hotel. Our room was small for 3 people, but very comfortable and well appointed. Our son loved the complimentary box of chocolates they left for us and that won his loyalty. The bed was very comfortable. The street is lined with trendy cafes and there's a beautiful view of the Bahai Gardens at the end of the street. Breakfast was the best we had in Israel -- lots of great choices. We wished we could stay longer in Haifa.
“Good hotel in fun location”
The Colony was a great hotel for us. Our room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and had a beautiful view of the Bahai Gardens. The bathroom, however, was in need of a facelift. Nothing serious, just tired. The buffet breakfast was full of nice Israeli salads and did have cereal, toast, and some eggs for the Americans staying there. We didn't eat there for dinner, though, since there were so many interesting restaurants nearby. We enjoyed Isabella for Italian down the hill and Fattoush for Middle Eastern just up the hill. I agree with the other reviewers that state the rooms on the second floor might be noisy since that's the same floor as reception and the dining areas. But, I can't say for sure that they are. Only caveat, don't plan on having your socks dry if you hang them in the bathroom overnight; it took ours twice as long as usual. We'd defintely stay there again.
“Haifa with a view”
The room was large enough that you did not feel cramped with a bed a desk table and another table. We did not use the television so cannot comment. The bathroom was well maintained, no trouble getting hot water. The view to the patio was delightful. The hotel was quiet enough that you did not hear the neighboring room or the room above you. We appreciated the value of having fast internet connection. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety of mediterranean dishes including varieties of fish and cheese. The outdoor seating with the beautiful spring weather was another plus. Parking although limited was available.
“It met expectation”
It is a very nice boutique hotel, well maintained in the most beautiful old area of the city.
“Nice hotel in German Colony Haifa with great view”
We just stayed at the Colony for one day, but are very satisfied with the service and condition of the rooms. The view at the Bahai Gardens is very nice especially from the roof terrace. One point of interest from us: Although the room was very nice, the shower wet the whole bath room when we used it, since the curtain wasn't keeping it within the tub and the loose tub (which was great, by the way) couldn't keep all the water from splashing into the bath room. Fortunately there were enough towels to clean it up. On the other hand it was very good to hear that, even though it was not the holiday season in January, we could have breakfast until 11 o'clock in this facility. Since we stayed over there for a wedding party, the night before, this was very nice! All in all a very nice place to stay (great architecture and situation) and I would recommend it to anyone who stayed in Haifa.
“would recommend and would go back”
good location, nice staff, nice sized room
