Another Long Weekend Away
Used Mons as a base to explore various attractions in the area. The hotel is a typical Ibis, our room was large and spacious, and the bar provided a selection of refreshments which, owing to the warm weather, were very welcome. A friendly support team added to the pleasure of our break. The railway station is conveniently close although the rebuild still isn't finished!

Don't go here - No acceptable access by car.
This hotel should not be on your list; it is practically impossible to reach it by car. There are so many road closures in the area there is one route (not signposted) to get to the hotel AND THIS INVOLVED GOING THE WRONG WAY ON A ONE-WAY STREET! We were told this was allowed due to the diversions, but the signage did not make that clear. We asked a woman nearby (a local) and she said you could not get to the hotel by car. We ended up parking as close as we could and walked to the hotel where they said about going the wrong way on the street. They were not concerned that this had wasted a lot of our time.

In the dark with accorScamers
So I pay for a bed and toilets.. but no electricity... I arrive at 23h50 took a shower as soon as I get out no lights no heating .. they did not offer to change me of hotel .. they refuse to rembource me because I use hotels.com and only offer me a 80e voucher to use ONLY with accor group... Note that I book with platforms to be free of being forced to stay with a hotel company! You sell something you can't ensure the product You pay back! That is how it works! I understand this can happen to anyone... But does not means you won't rembource (a voucher for accor only is not rembourcement! I pay with money and u wanna pay me with candy!) And this is why I avoid accor hotels.... Only to be use only when there is nothing else left... Scammers! Btw my dog's cookies have higher quality than your brake fast (orange juice was the only good thing)

Once again we sincerely apologizes for the inconvenient meet during your stay. The hotel has nothing to do with the problems encountered because these are linked to problems outside the hotel. But we tried to do our best to resolve this problem. Now this issue is fully resolved. As you mentionned it my colleague offered you a voucher of 80 € corresponding to the amount of your stay but you didn't accept it. I'm sorry to read you have no confidence in Accor Hotels and I won't try to change your mind about our company. We do our job as best as we can but it seems it's not enough. Best Regards

Another as advertised Ibis expérience
A fine place to stay. Room was generously sized, especially by Ibis standards. It was however a bit tired, and definitely had the smell of cigarettes, despite being a non-smoking room. Overall, the quality I expected, so I'm not disappointed.

Parking was very easy and straightforward; we were made welcome on arrival by the friendly staff and the food was of good quality & value. The hotel is well-situated by the railway station and the ten minute walk to the Grand Place was a pleasant stroll through the older part of the city. We would definitely stay there again!

Clean, comfortable and friendly
Stayed on business. Located right across from the train station, it’s 10min walk to the town centre and a 20 min walk to a shopping centre with ikea, food court etc. Great location. Staff are very helpful and speak great English. The hotel offers a service where if you don’t have your room cleaned you receive a €5 voucher to spend in the restaurant. The steak is lovely. Rooms are recently refurbished and comfortable.

not good value. more than 150 Euros, a single bed when a double was reserved, no breakfasr yet others, who paid 40 euros less, had breakfast included, no fridge, no kleenex, no shampoo, no extra facilities. worth about 60 euros, and Mons is not a big tourisr attraction

Our rate is Apply in function of the occupancy and of the events happening in the area. We have also rate for individual and for groups. As member of Ibis group, we have to follow the guidelines dicted by Ibis and in this guidelines there is no fridge, no kleenex in the room. those facilities are for a 4 star hotel. Best Regards

Right across from the train station with large and clean rooms. I was not a fan of the breakfast, and the shower is a tub with a showerhead that needs to be held. However, I would still recommend this to others visiting Mons. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

Mons weekend
The Ibis Mons is right next to the main railway station and about a ten minutes walk to the main square in the city. At the time of our visit the railway station was in the middle of a rebuilding project. The hotel itself is the usual Ibis style with good sized rooms. A decent selection of local beers were available at the bar.

Mons iBis Never Disappoints
This hotel has a very friendly and personable staff and is located very close to the city centre. I enjoy staying here and always recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting the Mons area.

Sleeping. That's all, folks.
We were in the region for a visit to the Contemporary Arts Museum "Grand Hornu". The atmosphere in the hotel brought us back somewhere in the nineties, but the service is OK. The room we got wasn't small, but everything except the flat screen TV is old and could be refreshed. Wifi was unstable. But, it is quite cheap (we paid EUR 60,- for the night) and conveniently situated, close to the city centre. Fenced parking is a supplement of EUR 9,-.

Basic hotel close to Mons train station
I have stayed in this Ibis several times. It is within walking distance of the train station and as such quite convenient. In this stay I discovered that the restaurant was closed for several weeks. Although it is quite normal to have renovations in rooms or other facilities, this was not announced while booking, which I would expect to be the case

As you will notice I have been staying in many IBIS hotels all around Europe. However I could not rate this specific one in Mons so positively due to an irritating Wifi connection in the room as well as noise from the lift and adjacent rooms.

Clean, efficient, close to station.
If you're planning to arrive by train, be aware that although the hotel is very conveniently located for the station, there's a lot of building work under way and the way across the main road isn't too clear (at least not when I arrived after dark on a rainy evening!). Can't fault the informative and multilingual staff. Room itself was fine although a few more bedclothes might not have hurt, neither can I fault the cleanliness. Be aware though that you need to go to the bar on the ground floor for drinks and snacks as there aren't any facilities or vending machines on the accommodation floors, nor are there many convenience stores nearby.

Basic accommodations close to Gare
We booked this property because if it's proximity to the train station. The room itself was ok but when we checked in the window was completely open and with the temperature outside at only 5C needless to say the room was cold. It was also very musty or smokey even though it was a job smoking room. Also found the floors and carpets either sticky or dirty.

For a 1 night stay it was quite comfortable, located reasonably close to the city centre. On walking distance from the train station, this hotel does exactly what it says on the tin.

Worst management, don't leave valuables in room.
The good - clean, good beer downstairs, is right across the street from the train station, a 10m walk to Grand Place. The bad - their internet is seriously terrible and housekeeping stole my and my friends' belgian chocolates. Their customer service is pitiful, we were treated terribly while and after reporting the theft. I traveled here with several other people. On day 3 we returned to find Leonidas and Neuhaus candies missing from gift bags on our desks, clearly marked with brand names. Management claims they threw away "rubbish" chocolate we acquired downstairs, and I am disgusted at at this and their response in general to our poor experience. They did not attempt to speak with us, and blasted another user's review claiming we asked for a refund, which is ridiculous - this was a corporate paid stay, we individually benefit in no way from requesting a refund. We merely informed them that a thief cleans their rooms. Instead of apologizing for the poor experience, mgmt argues that it just didn't happen. Customer service here is a joke. Additionally, the internet drops every 2-3 minutes and video conferencing is downright impossible. I could not even have a simple conversation via chat. In short, this place wouldn't be so bad with a complete overhaul of their management, staff, and internet. If those things don't matter to you, you might enjoy your stay.

Nice for a stopover
Booked the hotel for 2 adults and one child in a triple room, when we arrived they had us booked in a double room so had to bring up a folding bed. Very apologetic and good service. Would have given higher rating but weather was really hot and it's the first Ibis I have stayed in with no aircon. Also surrounding area very noisy, lots of cars an motorbikes racing around in the early hours. Does have secure parking which is a bonus. Beds very comfy, even the fold out.
