“Would not stay there again”

It is not a luxurious and is not a resort, it is a farm house converted to 3 suites. The "Luxurious Waterfall and Pool Resort" name does no exists (only on the web) and nobody knows what it is and were it is. To get to it, you have to drive a mile or two on single laine road throught the jungle and then about 1/4 mile through farm dirt road.

“WAY off beaten path”

Arrived after dark and while we are from the midwest and not afraid of rural travel this was something else. Good internet directions but can't follow them in the dark and mgmt has no road markings or signs. Did spot a small arrow after day 2 Missing a few amenities in Aloha Suite, kitchen had 3 plastic cups, small microwave and frig and no supplies in outdoor kitchen either. Got a free mug at Hilo Hatties for my instant coffee, after buying hair dryer which was also missing. No clock radio either. Room was , spacious, semi-clean, and after initial drive into the property and you were aware of the land layout, passable. Would not have been so put off if the description had been more realistic from the start. Was not expecting a resort, but was expecting what they described. People will be more satisfied if they get what they are expecting. Don't advertise what you aren't selling.

“If you enjoy way out there this is your place”

This place is out in the middle of no where.Not as pleasent as the photo depicts.The room was clean but was in desperate need of repair.

“A Disappointment”

This isolated triplex is three miles off the main road with the last 3/4 mile a two- track trail. "Luxurious" is completely misleading. Though relatively new construction, the Aloha unit was poorly finished with linoleum flooring that was bulging, crude tile work and related caulking in the bath and curtains that resembled quickly hung sheeting. Bottom, supposedly fitted, bedsheets were of the wrong size for the king size bed and ended up each morning in a tangle. Drawing of hot water involved a four-minute wait. With this signaling a single source for the three units, no attempt was made to use the very large jacuzzi tub for fear it would exhaust the hot water. Upon return to the unit one evening, there was no water (apparently shut off by workmen earlier) and attempts to contact management were successful only after several unanswered phone calls and an email. There is a pool, but they drained it on the last day of our stay. Apparently there is a nearby waterfall, but overgrowth of the trail, that a worker was in the process of clearing during our stay, discouraged our attempting to visit it. The three units share a detached room with three separate sets of kitchen appliances, dishes and utensils -- an interesting but satisfactory arrangement. Each unit also has its own hotplate, microwave and coffee maker. In summary, if you are looking for isolation with a great view of the distant ocean and can abide the "warts", it might be your thing.

“Very Dissatisfied”

Unit is very remote on a long, narrow and severely curved road and has a 0.3 mile rutty dirt driveway.Lockbox instructions were incomplete. No person available to help on any issue. Check-in phone number only had a message recording.Coffee and grounds in coffeepot and water in glasses in bathroom upon arrival which was after check-in time.No telephone number for phone into unit. TV was disconnected from the cable. Took one hour to figure out why TV did'nt work.Unit in general disrepair -- baseboards missing, recliner broken. Kitchen in another building is very inconvenient. Only water for coffee pot is at bathroom sink. "Waterfall" is only accessable for hikers,and ocean view is very distant. Jacuzzi is nearly impossible to get into and out of for older people and there is no shower-head pole in the tub. Had great concern that in an emergency, help would be difficult to get.

“LUXURIOUS NOT! RESORT NOT! What a scam!”

Talk about false advertising- This place is over 14 miles from Hilo, not 9.5 kilometers as stated in the add. There are no telephones working in the units, there are no instructions in the unit as to how to operate equipment and what to expect ( small details like your kitchen is located in a seperate building) and the road to get to this place is remote and difficult to find. We found the kitchen ( located outside the suite) and had to wash our dishes before using them they were so filthy. In addition bringing food in and out of the unit is a pain and difficult to manage without spilling things. The Pool is small and dirty, the " water view" is so far away it takes binoculars to see. The lawn is still not mowed and from the look of previous reviews it has not been mowed for a couple of months. Very horrible and isolated and, for the price, there are many other better options available. Not luxurious and not 3.5 stars. Perhaps a 2 star rating.

“Rustic Farmhouse with dirty pool and overgrown path to waterfall”

Dirt road to get to property. I would advise you to have a 4x4 and find the place before it gets dark. First off the pool was dirty & pump did not work. This is one of the main reason we wanted to stay there. The neighbors with 3 children were not happy with this either. As for the waterfall. There is no mark path or a map giving to find it. Took us about 30 minutes to find it walking through grass over our head. Also a very steep climb down on rocks. I would advise them to attach a rope to a tree to make it easy going up and down. Luxurious & Resort do not come to my mind when I think of this. Rustic & Farmhouse more do. The house was not clean at all. Floors dirty, markings all over walls & ceilings, cobwebs everywhere. A dead lizard on the wall & dead moths in the lights. A lot of bulbs were out & over the bed the light cover was missing. Missing screws from outlet covers, and a electric outlet cover completely missing. Tile falling apart in the bathroom and the access panel to jetted tub tub sticking out. Holes in walls, missing moulding and ground moulding separating. Over all very poor finish work. Also laziness for not patching holes in the walls. I think we had 5 different types of towels. None matched. The rug around the toilet was covered in bleach. Old 32 inch TV and was not hooked up right. No Wifi or phone like promised. View was ok, but overgrown. Shows picture of stove and refrigator in place, but not really there. Detached shared kitchen.
