Best locaton those travelling by JR

Service rendered at front office was impeccable. On arrival we deposited our luggage at the front office as we were early and returned later to check-in. My wife mistakenly handed in the wrong luggage tag which was issued by our hotel in Sapporo, however the front office staff, a gentleman relentlessly search for our luggage although the tag was obviously different from the one issued by the hotel. We discovered our mistake and apologized to him but he was very accomodating and understanding. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the JR Hakodate station nearby. Very convenient to walk to the station and morning fish market opposite. Bus interchange and tram station is also opposite the hotel. Very convenient to go anywhere in Hakodate. The Onsen on the top floor is a welcome bonus. There is a ramen store just across the road which serves one of the best ramen I have eaten in Hakodate and it closes late.Be prepared to queue during peak period as with all ramen shops in Japan, there are very small with seating capacity for about 12 pax. This hotel is highly recommended and I will definitely stay again when I am back in Hakodate.
