Southern Baptist Convention stay

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness, better linens
Location: There is no food nearby. Couldn't get waited on in neighboring restaurant. Only takes minutes to reach downtown and Inner Harbor.
The price was right and the location was perfect - outside the rush of the city but just a couple of minutes away from the Baltimore. When I entered my room a swarm of flies erupted. Pillows were ridiculus.

Ok Hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: It was somewhat clean although the top of the TV cabinets in both rooms I stayed were sticky.
Cons: They had an iron rack but no iron and iron board. There was no coffee pot. The hotel needs to be renovated on the outside. Lots of rust and decay.
Location: Near Baltimore's beautiful Inner Harbor.
I checked in and found my first night of sleep to be very difficult. I felt like a human taco squeezed between the sides of the mattress as if we very worn out in the middle. They gave me another room the next day but the table was missing. I called and asked for a table because I needed to do some computer work. There were no apologies for either incident The hotel is located next to "Loafers Bar and Grill" where a group of young people hang out. The parking lot was somewhat noisy and quieted down after while.

In bad shape, worn and thread bare.

We had a no smoking room with cigarette burns in the rug and furniture. The rug and bedspread were thread bare. We had a 4th floor room and the elevator was broken.

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything is dated and dirty.
Location: Location was fine close proximity to Inner Harbor.
Dirt everywhere, I didn't want to shower or use bathroom, so I went next door to loafers, which was a pretty nice place. Cob webs everywhere, walls had not been washed in years. There were patched up holes in the bathroom door, I had to remove the lamp shades because they were disgusting and I didn't want to stare at them all night. I was better of sleeping in my car. Went for the UFC fight and all other hotels were booked, In this life you get what you pay but this was just plain bad for the rate I recieved.

Just a lay over to catch 6 hrs of sleep.

Pros: Convenience of being right off highway.
Cons: Needs Bus/Truck/Trailer parking
Location: Island Vybz Cafe. If you like authentic Jamaican cooking.
Right off the highway. Friendly staff. Retail stores with in short drive

Ummm...too close to the bar and grill.

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: The room was shabby but clean. The office help was pleasant and nice.
Cons: Actually, almost everything could be improved. As I said very shabby.
Location: The location was unfortunate in that Friday night at the local watering hole was just too volatile.
As soon as it got dark there were groups of people fighting and screaming in the parking lot. The police were called 3 or 4 times. We didn't call them but the blue lights flashing on the window made it pretty clear what was happening. We were coming from a chemo day at Johns Hopkins so needed a ground floor room. The curtains did not cover the window - just sheers - so we had to go to Walmart and get some giant safety pins to pull and pin the drapes that were on each side of the window. With the ruckus going on outside it was good that we could do that. The room was supposedly a handicapped room but the safety bar in the bathroom by the toilet was not securely attached to the wall and was not safe for use.

Avoid if you can

Posted Mar 17, 2014
I'm sure they tried and the people where nice but it was a night of no sleep and in a room that was falling apart. I would avoid it if you can. Plus it is right next to a bar and there was noise constantly.
