Clean and quiet

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Rooms were clean, normal in size, beds comfortable. Hotel off HWY 1 though didn't hear any car noise or other guests when in room. Continental breakfast offered nice hot and cold choices as well as coffe/tea and juices. Took away a star for lack of pool. Location is blocks from state park with beach and near HWY 92 for cut through that is easier to drive than PCH for those going to San Francisco.

Great place to stay

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Reducing the noise level from neighboring rooms.
Location: For us, the beach and relaxation.
We went to SF area for a week long vacation with a rental car and stayed in Coastside Inn in early July. We liked the beaches, the climates and the not so far distances from the places we want to see. The motel staff was great, the motel is good, except the loud noises from neighboring rooms and highway 1 before mid-nights. The complimentary breakfast was great and better than most places we have stayed so far. Overall we felt fortunate to have rooms available during our vacation in Half Moon Bay.

Short night

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: Easy to find off of CA Hwy 1.
Cons: New beds are needed and the iron needed to be replaced or cleaned.
Location: Plenty near by, including the beach, local restaurants and some nice plant nurseries. Stayed at the hotel because it was close to SF for a Giants game
If you're arriving late and leaving Half Moon Bay early, this hotel is fine. The bed was a bit soft and the iron had a lot of sticky stuff (probably was used to iron polyester) on it but otherwise it was an easy stay.

Worst motel I have ever stayed in

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Overpriced! Motel staff is useless, can't resolve problems at all. Keys didn't work, have to go back and call front desk person to re-program lock. Very noisy, next to freeway, and on top of that drank young people running around and screaming all night long. The whole building is run-down as well as rooms are very outdated and not clean. Terrible mildew smell. Food absolutely DISGUSTING. Breakfast tea and coffee UNDRINKABLE.

Not fancy, but clean and super friendly staff

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Fair price, pet friendly, clean, friendly staff.
Cons: Not really
Location: Easy access to several beaches. The hotel is pet friendly, not all of the beaches are, so check on that before hand. Lot's of restaurants nearby.
We wanted an affordable place that was clean and pet friendly, reasonably close to beaches. Coastside Inn fit the bill perfectly. It's not fancy, but the price was fair, the facilities were clean and the staff were exceptional. Free breakfast buffet was pretty good. And, our daughter was able to bring her puppy.

Close to beach, affordable

Posted Jun 7, 2015
It was okay besides the group of kids partying 2 rooms down. The staff told us they had to kick 40 people out twice... And we were greeted in the morning with vomit all over the stairs... They said that's not the first time they have partied there, not sure why they keep letting them back. They didn't look old enough to rent a room. At least our room was clean!

Nice hotel in central location.

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Pet friendly.
Cons: Bathrooms are a bit outdated.
Location: Beaches, restaurants within 3 miles.
Staff was friendly upon check in and check out. Room was clean and had refrigerator and microwave. A bit noisy, as the hotel is on the main road, but close to beaches and restaurants.
