very clean and great hospitable staff the will help you in any way to have a great experience in their hotel. thumbs up to this hotel. The only draw back is that you have to pay to park in the hotel even if you are staying their, other than that the hotel and staff were great.

2 Night Business Trip

Pros: I enjoy staying at the Atlantica Hotel and will continue to consider it my primary accomodations in Halifax.
Location: Great parks in the area, short walk to downtown and the waterfront.
I have stayed here multiple times. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and very nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Halifax as it's only a short walk to the downtown core.

Good value

It was a comfortable stay of one night. The room was clean and they had done some renos to the room but there were still some indications that more would need to be done. The people were very friendly and the food was good. Good value and nice location.

Great place to stay!

We upgraded our room to a suite with bunk beds - the kids loved it! And it was great to have a fridge and microwave in our room. We would definately stay here again. The pool was really nice but the hot tub looked a bit questionable.

Pleasant stay at a good price.

Pros: Location... Close to everything
Cons: Paying for underground parking. The smell of the carpets.
Location: Great location as mentioned above.
The staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable and so was the bed. Nice & quiet so slept well. I don't think the carpets have been changed since the hotel was built, which emits a heavy smell in the room. I was happy with the Expedia price of $99.00 per night but would not have said this hotel was worth $167.00 and up like some of the advertised prices after booking. I would go back at this price or lower.

Just Right!

While this place doesn't have a mini-bar or flash, the decor was updated, the room was spacious, clean and in good condition, and the staff were down-to-earth, friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was a lovely setting and serve up good food. Room service was incredibly accommodating of my special menu needs. A very comfortable stay overall.

A great experience

Cons: I enjoyed the restaurant but would have also liked a more casual coffee shop. But there were others nearby.
Location: Centrally located in the downtown.
I enjoyed my 4 night stay. The staff were very courteous. The hotel was centrally located. I would certainly go back again.

First Time Is a Charm
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. Careful considertion to little details.
Cons: The lobby could be more inviting.
Location: For our purposes this location was perfect - within a comfortable walking distance to downtown and Starbucks.
This was our first stay here and we enjoyed our stay. I had read about the noise from the ice makers and enquired upon check if we had been given a room next to the ice maker and sure enough we had (this was a little disappointing given there were other rooms available away from the ice makers). We asked for another room and they were happy to accommodate us (I suggested they should replace or relocate their ice machines since it was the only negative comment I had read about the hotel). The bed was very comfortable and room temperature was maintained to our liking. The hotel had gone out of its way to think of little extras that stood out for me (from the glassware to the items in the bath). A little more character in the lobby and more attention to detail in the elevators would make this hotel feel more 4 star. Otherwise a very pleasant visit - we would stay here again for sure.

Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: bathroom
Location: not as close to downtown as we had expected, but certainly within walking distance to sites
The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The hotel seemed a bit "tired" as compared to the picture on the website as we saw lots of need for repairs on the outside and inside. The staff in the restaurant/lounge was very good and again very friendly and willing to please. The beds were comfortable; but the bathroom in our room was in need of attention. The hotel seemed quite apart from downtown, but not out of walking distance - about 25/30 minutes. The hotel seems to be on a main street. Overall was a good experience for us.
