Frat house posing as hotel
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Leaving
Cons: parties 3 of the 4 nights
Location: Great location
This is a party hotel, of the 4 nights stayed, 3 were disturbed by parties in the adjacent rooms. Was moved after the second night to a different floor, quiet for one night but the second in the new room had a major party in it. Hotel manager had to stand there for awhile while the guests of party left. Most guests of hotel seemed to be in early 20s and there to party all night long. If you are there for business and actually need a nights sleep, stay somewhere else. They should change the name to Cambridge Frat House, more accurate a description.

Pleasant hotel in the heart of Halifax
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: Spacious and clean rooms, ideally located.
Cons: Washroom was clean but lacking in the "looks" / comforts department.
Location: Ideally located just off "the strip" at the base of Citadel Hill, one of Halifax's iconic features. Close to everything yet quiet.
Friendly and warm service, clean and spacious rooms. Perhaps not as "cool or trendy" as some travelers may like, but decidedly a great value. Would stay at again.

Beautiful Room - Bathroom not so much...
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Spacious
Cons: Old tub and Toilet
Location: Fantastic
Such a beautiful Hotel - Room was very nice and clean, but....the bath tub and toilet were from the 80's -Clogged drain such a bummer! It just didn't fit in with the whole outlook of the 'ZEN' look the Hotel portrays so very well from the moment you arrive.

A clean, modern room in the heart of downtown
Posted Jan 12, 2013
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very welcoming. The staff were efficient and courteous, though I had no reason to contact them after check-in and check-out. The room was larger than average, had a very comfortable bed, and provided a stunning view of the harbour. The rooftop patio (complete with BBQs for guest use!) were a great feature! The breakfast was very much a continental breakfast of cereal, fruit salad, fresh fruit, bagels, and pastries - though certainly met expectations, being served in the hotel's clean and comfortable restaurant/bar. The location of this hotel is great for anyone exploring downtown by foot or by car, and, though it is a few minutes from the casino, it is only 5 minutes walk from a number of restaurants, historic sites, and the shopping on Spring Garden Road for day-time entertainment, and a number of character-filled pubs for some fun after dark.

Home away from home in Halifax

Pros: The staff are great and very welcoming. The continental breakfast was very good - lots of food with good choices.
Cons: When I pay roughly $200 for the night, it's a bit much to have to pay an additional $16 for parking. Feels like a cash grab - should be complimentary.
Location: Very central and easy walk to shopping, movie theater and restaurants.
Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room we had was very comfy and everything was spotless. So thank you - we'll be back!

Amazing stay.
Posted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: I loved the view and my room.
Cons: The parking.
Location: The hotel is about four streets from the water front, amazing location.
The hotel is in a great location, however the only thing that is a really big down fall is the fact you have to pay basically 20$ to park your car for the night. The front desk staff were very caring as well, the two times I had called both problems were addressed as quick as possible (extra pillows and towels).

Really Wanted Waffles

Pros: Helpful staff at front desk
Cons: Not so helpful staff at the Restaurant.
Location: Close to many restaurants, bars and shopping.
The only bad thing we experienced at the hotel was at breakfast time, we wanted to order from the menu and after being ignored for about 15 minutes we just grabbed ourselves some muffins and toast from the free breakfast. Not too impressed by that. Other then that staff at front desk was really helpful and even helped take a picture of me and my friend after getting all dressed up for a gala. Room was super clean and beautiful inside.
