Upon checking in I was told that I had 2 rooms reserved and paid for, when I only wanted 1. When I made the reservation via Expedia, somehow I was charged for 2 rooms. While sympathetic, the counter staff at the hotel was unable to resolve the issue. The issue seems to be with the Expedia booking system.

The walls and ceiling between floors does not seem to have insulation, every step the person on the floor above could be heard below, the room beside, I could actually hear the people snoring! The heater in the room has loud and banging, couldn’t leave it on. Overall just a terrible night, next morning breakfast was served on the 16th floor of the Tower Hotel and all the burners to keep the food hot were out, therefore buffet breakfast was cold

Excellent staff and room. Excellent breakfast. The only issue, which was minor, is the room is a bit dated. Could use a refresh on the fixtures. But that was a very small detail to an otherwise excellent stay.

Great staff attention to guests. The bathroom sink did not drain properly and when I changed rooms the toilet handle did not operate smoothly. Cleaning staff were great but perhaps these issues could be reported to management for repair. Overall it was a very nice stay! Again great staff!!

This is the PERFECT hotel!! I’m not familiar with the Halifax area, but the location is perfect! Everything seemed to be 1-5 min away, and you can always spot the hotel from a distance especially at night! During our stay, the staff had been awesome and breakfast was delicious! Lots of choices for what to have! This hotel has good and honest staff! The day we checked out happened to be a day where we had a terrible winter storm. We decided to leave for home in NB anyways, but an hour into the drive my daughter realized she forgot her AirPods back at the hotel. We called the hotel straight away and let them know. We figured it was worth the try but thought they might be as good as gone. They told us they would look for them and call us back. A half hour later they found them and located them! We asked if they could ship it to our home and charge our card. They did! They even went a step up and found an Apple AirPods box to package them in! A few days later they arrived and we are all extremely impressed with the service at this hotel. Highly highly highly recommend! Thanks to the staff there for everything!

Likes: newer facility, comfortable beds, great breakfast with hot and cold options included; good price but you will need a car given distance from everything Dislikes: You can hear people rooms beside and above you; the closet safe is awkward to access; closet hangers are permanently secured to rod making use difficult; too few hangers; room cleaning was poor with garbage and dirty towels left untouched after bed made and fresh towels provided; parking lot tight and very full, requiring us to park next door; staff’s command of English was poor.

Check in was very disappointing. My trip was pd by company cc and I had all my documents in long before my arrival. Upon check In I was told no fax received because there was no access to a fax machine. After talking to the manager the FD staff all of a sudden remembered the fax authorization. I would have preferred (and been understanding of) “I’m new and I amunsure. Second the pool was slimy and smelled like lake water. It needs chlorine for sure Third my room had hairs (a few, not one or two) in the shower and around the floor. The pool shower had gum in the top left corner (facing the windows) Last my keys would only work 1x. Once I used it, it deactivated and 4x I had to go get another key programmed But breakfast was delicious. The FD staff who checked me in was very nice even tho my check in wasn’t ideal but the 3-11 staff was on her phone every time I had to get a key and seemed annoyed I was interrupting her. She even suggested it was me holding my phone to close. I had already considered that the 2nd time but the 3rd & 4th I made a point to leave my phone in the room so clearly that wasn’t the issue Hotel is beautiful. Nice decor. Bed comfy I know staffing is short every where but if you can’t provide quality service & cleanliness you can’t charge top rate for below par

We loved the clean room, heated pool and lovely breakfast. Check-in was quick and easy and the wifi stable and fast. Would recommend this property to anyone staying in Halifax and wants a quiet peaceful area to stay in. Only 15 min drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Halifax. A1!!!

Shower curtain rod fittings were loose and not secured to the wall properly. Advised front desk the 1st morning after check in - the issue went unresolved. Housekeeping was below expectations. The carpet never saw a vacuum, as potato chip crumbs remained on the carpet for our entire stay. the cleanliness of the washroom and shower was below expectations. the house keeping staff also has issues with making of beds. the breakfast room was great. the owner/manager did reach out after checkout and promised to look into the matter.

Such a great stay!!
This was the perfect hotel for my husband and I. It was affordable, not too far from downtown Halifax, and a great “home away from home”. The pool was perfectly refreshing, the amenities were great, and the continental breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever had! The staff were so pleasant, I would definitely recommend anyone stay here.
