“very good hotel for price and breakfast”

Great place to stay for the price. The hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast & coffee was included with the price which was a lot better than the often offered continental breakfast at other places. It was about a $17.00 cab ride from the hotel to the Halifax Harbour Front on Water Street where everything you would want to see is in walking distance. The only thing I would caution one about is the fact the hotel isn't located in the best area of Dartmouth so just take caution especially in the evenings.

“Would stay here again”

We stayed 5 nights. Enjoyed the hot breakfast for free with the room each day. You could upsize for $2.00 to include a second egg and toast, hash browns. On Saturday it was all you can eat hot breakfast free with the room. That impressed my teenage sons. Restaurant staff very friendly. Front dest organized and helpful-maps of area and halifax, let me confirm our flight in their office because the computer room computer would not let me access the site. Easy commute to Mic Mac Mall, Halifax by bus service. $2.25 for the bus and transfers were good for 2 hours. Next to Parkside Bar and Grill who had excellent fish and chips( the best that I tasted on our Maritimes trip), with good live entertainment on Friday evening. Also good pizza restauant next to it. Tim Horton's and gas station also in that parking lot. Nice area of Dartmouth, we felt safe at any time of the day. Taxi to and from the airport about $49-50. Once we had our rental car we could park for free. Our room was on the second floor (I wish there had been an elevator for my knee problems). It had 2 queen beds, microwave, fridge, very nice decor. Air conditioner could be set to a temperature not just Low/High, so it would keep the room temp constant, windows also opened which I prefer. It was near the highway for easy access but we were not disturbed by the traffic.Also, new indoor pool. GREAT PLACE TO STAY AND VERY REASONABLE WHEN BOOKED WITH EXPEDIA.

“Few frills, but exceedingly friendly and efficient accomodation”

Ideally located, clean, and very friendly hotel with some unexpected frills for the price. Very good restaurant with great wait staff AND the barman was outstanding! Front desk crew was quite attentive and couteous well beyond the norm of today's hotel industry. Perhaps that is because it is Nova Scotia, my favorite "province" in all the world! Thanks again to all!!

When we arrived, we discovered that our rooms were on the second floor with no elevtor access. Since the couple that was with us had difficulty with stairs, the desk clerk switched both of our rooms to the first floor. Good customer service.

Great motel, great staff, clean and spacious. Newly rennovated rooms. New pool. There is no elevator, but it's only 2 floors, so it's not a big deal. They have drive up rooms and also inside motels rooms.
