Excellent base for visiting Halifax.Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Everything was clean and efficient.
Cons: Swimming pool was closed at the time of my visit, a substantial inconvenience. Some kind of continental breakfast would also be convenient.
Location: Excellent location, central to almost all major sights.
This hotel is excellent at what it does, which is to provide efficient and courteous service in a modern and clean setting. However, it provides no complementary breakfast, even a continental one, although one came get breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

Nice hotel close to the waterfront.Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: Staff could be more interested in customers. Not sure how to amend the noisy street outside our hotel window.
Location: Close to harbourfront and great restaurants, as well as city center and main sights. All within walking distance.
Rooms were not ready at 3pm, not enough towels for our party of 4, lots of traffic noise throughout the night on our side of the hotel. However, the facility was nice with comfortable beds and very conveniently located.

Beautiful Hotel in downtown HalifaxPosted Jul 2, 2014
We had a good stay at this hotel. The room was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the location because we wanted to walk to the harbour front, Citadel Hill and the public gardens.

Party hotel. Beware.Posted Jul 1, 2014
While the location, condition and cleanliness of the hotel are all fine the 4-Points seems to have become the destination of choice for the young party crowd and like coming back to their rooms drunk and singing at 3 am. Families with young kids or those looking for a quiet, relaxing place should steer clear.

Conveniently close to downtown/waterfront areaPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Close to the waterfront
Cons: see above
Location: Halifax waterfront is great, especially for families. Lots of little activity stations, tours of docked boats and restaurants etc
Overall it was fine but of course one gets caught up in the details. This may seem petty, but they were very skimpy on the toilet paper! And there was no where close to the shower to hang my towel so I had to let it fall to the floor. Again, minor, but irritating. The fellow at the front desk was adamant that I couldn't book the airport shuttle over the phone. I called the 1-800 number and had no problem at all. So staff training on the little details might be in order. Finally, in order to the use the stairs to my floor I had to walk from the lobby through a parking garage. Weird set up. But overall everything was clean, the staff had smiles on their faces and I felt safe. If the price came down slightly I would go there again.

One Night in HalifaxPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The king size bed was "lush". It was like sleeping on a cloud.
Location: The Maritime museum was a great attraction to see the history of the titanic and look at the Halifax explosion. The pier was great to walk along.
What a pleasant hotel to find. We had one night in Halifax before we flew to New York and the Sheraton was great to stay in, handy to what we wanted to see and do and very comfortable.

We had a room with a view of the harbour.Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance of the boardwalk and right downtown.
Cons: Bathroom vanity was modern, but small and didn't hold all our toiletries.
The view from our room was great, but our daughter had a view of the courtyard, which wasn't.
