Central and Stylish in Downtown Halifax

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location and the clean, modern, friendly environment.
Cons: An all inclusive, optional continental breakfast and the daily newspaper to go with your coffee would be terrific!
Location: Citadel, Public Gardens, shopping district, cinema, restaurants, harbourfront, Farmer's Market, Pier 21 Museum, art gallery, and micro brew pubs!
The Prince George was extremely convenient from the moment I stepped off the Metro bus that delivered me from the airport to downtown Halifax. Sitting at the foot of the Citadel and a few downhill blocks from the harbourfront, this hotel was perfectly situated to explore the historic, the swiftly changing North end, the waterfront (Pier 21, Farmer's Market, etc) the Public Botanical Gardens, and the Spring Garden Road shopping district on foot. The staff was always courteous and helpful and the accommodations were impeccably clean. The recent remodeling has given this hotel a modern, boutique feel. The well maintained rooftop patio, the pool and whirlpool were an added bonus. The adjoining restaurant, 'gio' served a terrific, gourmet brunch on the weekend that is highly recommended. As an added bonus the worthwhile 'Local Tasting Tours' departed from the lobby of this hotel for a great walking trip around the city centre and north end to explore great eateries, shops that support the local, organic food movement, and brewpubs.

Nicest Halifax Hotel with ideal location

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Booking this hotel for our last two nights iafter exploring Nova Scotia we wanted to stay in an upscale hotel in a great location. This hotel was ideal. It is only a short walk to the famous Boardwalk and in the neighborhood if trendy restaurants and bars. We did not initially get a room on the harbour side but when i expressed my disappointment we were assigned a room with a view. The lobby is elegant trendy and had a great outdoor seating area. Nice pool and sauna but too crowded with kids. Drawback was the extra charge for hotel parking and tight spots. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was quiet at night. We were very pleaded with this choice.

Great accommodation walking distance to downtown.

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Close proximity to all tourist attractions. Great sleep. Comfortable beds. Great accommodations.
Cons: We travelled all around the southern shore and stayed in hotels and B&Bs. We ended our trip with the last night at Prince George.
Location: Prince George is comfortable located minutes from the Citadel and the Public Gardens. We walked to the harbour and the length of the harbour.
Great sleep! The staff was accommodating. Due to the rain, we asked for a taxi to get us to expedia rent a car for our car rental. Staff at the desk told us about the underground path that took us comfortable to Expedia and we stopped for coffee.

Great located hotel, within walking distance

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Location: All sites are short walk away, and we found a great restaurant "Cafe Chianti" for dinners.
Enjoyed our stay. Due to location, we were able to easily walk to all the attractions we wanted to see while in Halifax.

Great hotel - super location in Halifax

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: Work-out facilities could use an upgrade
Location: In the center of everything
Always a pleasure to stay at the Prince George - they never disappoint. Gio is one of the best restaurants in the City. The staff are excellent. I will always come back when visiting Halifax.
