Parking

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Parking was quite expensive. $19/day! It builds up as there is no other option. Parking nearby us far and quite a sloppy or hilly roads

Good place to stay during the week; noisy weekends

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Kitchennette, rooftop patio with barbecue, breakfast buffet, in the heart of downtown Halifax
Stayed there on our honeymoon in July. It was pleasant, reasonable and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch. Not sure I would stay there for a week again as after seven days, the breakfast was redundant. The hotel staff gave us a little basket of goodies to welcome us on our honeymoon. That was quite kind of them. The air conditioning in the gym wasn't working so that was unfortunate. During the week we had a good night sleep but from Thursday to Sunday... oh my gosh! The restaurant/bar across the street played loud music til the wee hours of the morning which disturbed us quite a lot. So make sure your room does not face the courtyard of the hotel or you will not get a quiet sleep on the week-end. All in all is was a decent stay with kitchen facilities and a barbecue on the roof. Would stay there again but not for seven days. Tooooo long!

Great Location Very comfortable rooms

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Location and room comfort. Very clean and modern.
Cons: Nothing. The Hotel was great
Location: Surrounded by bars and restaurants. The Stubborn Goat right next door was excellent.
Great location if you are looking for restaurants and bars. Rooms are apartment style spacious and the AC is virtually silent. No restaurant but the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Waterfront is three block down hill walk.

Pros: location, breakfast, room
Cons: parking,
Location: good downtown location, many bars
parking space is so small that was frustration experience. Parking charge was a fine print-kind statement. Otherwise, it was a fine hotel.

Halifax is an amazing diverse city with a small town feel. The residence inn was a perfect home base for us.
