Great downtown locationPosted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: From my stay........ nothing.
Location: All amenities were extremely close and very walkable
Room was clean, spacious and had a view of the harbor. Staff was very accommodating and very friendly. Not knowing the downtown area when booking, the hotel location was fantastic. Two blocks from the harbor boardwalk and all restaurants etc were within only a couple blocks. Would stay here again for sure!

Not a great value !Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Modern styling.
Cons: Pricing, over priced and parking sucked. Didn't leave me feeling comfortable leaving a expensive sports car in a totally unsupervised downtown lot.
Location: It is at the far end of the Halifax boardwalk on the water front , not the best location. Maritime Museum is close by.
Furnishings are updated, very modern but rooms are noisy and from a value perspective it seems expensive. Our stay with parking was $239 a night, breakfast not included. Seemed over priced for what the hotel offered. Parking was in the next block on a dirt/gravel parking lot , unsupervised but they charge $20 a night for it. They put a fence around the lot but leave the double gate open all night, what's the point? I think you could find a better value for your stay in the Halifax area.

Excellent gem in the middle of the CityPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Location: 5 minutes to the bars and restaurants. We enjoyed being within 5 minutes from the harbour.
Cons: I would have music in the Lobby
Location: Location: 5 minutes to the bars and restaurants.
This Hollis is beautiful. You can see that Millions were sent since it was changed from being a Radisson. I have stayed in both and can say that this hotel is comfortable, clean and contemporary. The One Bedroom Suite was stylish. I enjoyed the room amenities. We had a kitchenette with a dining nook. The living room was tasteful and the bedroom adjacent from the living room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The bathroom had a rainfall shower and a tv in the Mirror. You cannot go wrong with a tv in the Mirror!!! The common areas, pool and gym were clean and up to date. Overall a pleasant time.

Best Hotel in Downtown HalifaxPosted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Staff, staff staff! Decor, location.
Cons: Nothing really, parking is a bit of hassle but parking is a headache in any downtown hotel.
Location: Heart of downtown, countless pubs and places to eat.
I travel to Halifax a lot for work and have stayed at nearly every hotel. The Hollis is the best hotel in downtown by far! Room was huge with every possible amenity. Comfortable beds, great modern decor and clean. The staff were fantastic, some of the friendliest hotel staff i've ever come across anywhere in the world. They knew by name and greeted by name each time I came and went from the hotel.

One of my best business stays in a hotelPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness, spaciousness and decor of the room
Cons: Nothing needs to be improved
Location: The Cable Wharf on the waterfront is within a short walk. Great restaurants and shops are nearby too.
This is one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. Beautiful accommodations. I had a king bed which was very comfortable and the bedroom was very spacious. There are flat screens in the living room as well as the bedroom and even one behind the mirror in the bathroom. The overall experience was great. I would stay there again.

it was the best of times, it was the worst of timePosted May 26, 2015
Pros: Decor, cleanliness
Cons: B'fast pricing or make it inclusive.
Hotel mixed up and gave us the wrong room. They tried to blame expedia. They finally relented when i insisted we had the wrong room. No offer of compensation for the mix-up. Breakfast was overpriced. Room was clean and quiet. Overall a positive experience.

Beautiful hotel!Posted May 23, 2015
Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. It is located in the heart of the city and is close to all major attractions. You can walk to the harbour as well as to most restaurants within minutes. The hotel was clean, comfortable, very friendly and homely atmosphere. We would say here again. Thank-you for the excellent experience.
