A great location.

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: There was a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very helpful which made our stay quite enjoyable.
Location: Excellent location. The new library is very near as are many restaurants and clubs.
My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel and had a very enjoyable experience. We went to the Valentine's Dance in the hotel ballroom which was a great time.

Itchy elbows

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Nice lobby.
Cons: Different sheets, or use different washing methods.
Location: Decent.
The sheets were washed with chemicals which caused very itchy elbows.

Stylish and Classy!

Posted Feb 15, 2015
The hotel is beautiful! The lobby alone is breathtaking. It's a very classy hotel, definitely one of my favourites. I've stayed there several times and each experience was great. The rooms are beautiful, and very clean. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the city, I'd definitely recommend it, it's close to several restaurants, and shops. Right across the road is Spring Garden Park, a great little walk after dinner! :)

Everything was good except the coffee

Posted Feb 14, 2015
Pros: Walking distance to everything. I walked to the Dal University.
Cons: Better in-room coffee.
Location: The Spring Garden right across from the hotel is supposed to be amazing. Too bad it was Winter during my trip.
The room was clean and functional. The staff were friendly. The in-room coffee maker makes very weak coffee. I don't like the 1-cup brewing machine. I prefer the regular 4-cup coffee maker. Two weeks ago, I had just stayed at a different hotel in Winnipeg, noticed that the "Seattle Best" coffee was a lot better than the one this hotel uses. Furthermore, I stayed there for 17 days. It would be nice if the hotel offers food voucher for guests who stay for longer term.
