Old hotelPosted May 27, 2015
Furniture was old-fashioned. AC was loud and the room alternated between too-hot-too-sleep and freeeeezing all night.

Older property with historyPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: LIke a walk back in history - ornate decor, comfortable seating, old school charm
Cons: I know that they are downtown, but pest control could be stepped up. I had a mouse join me at the pub.
Location: shopping, hospital, university and restaurants within walking distance

wonderful experience my first visit to Halifax.Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: I liked the décor and friendly staff. The location.
Cons: I can't think of anything. Good value for money spent
Location: The location was near to all the places we visited .The farmers market, the water front ,churches, and many restaurants
Smooth flight all the way from Bermuda. Airport taxi collected us on time so far all good. We arrived at the Lord Nelson to a very warm and welcome greeting. I expected as much since the Lord Nelson was highly recommended. I liked the location, it was within walking distance to most places, I loved the gardens across from the hotel, and enjoyed pleasant walks through the park. About the hotel, staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious with a variety of healthy choices. Every where we went I found the people very friendly. I would definitely return.

An easy VisitPosted May 22, 2015
We wanted to visit the Public Gardens and the new Halifax Library. The hotel was centrally located to both. The staff were helpful and the parking was good.

Weekend in HalifaxPosted May 18, 2015
What a wonderful place to stay. Everything is well within walking distance. The Public Gardens are across the street, and there are many restaurants and pubs around the corner. The staff are attentive and are ready to help. Great hotel.

Paid for Queen, given a double, a tiny, dingy room and were not even compensated. Told this was the policy--no guarantee on what room you get.

Convenient location, beautiful hotelPosted May 2, 2015
Location: Walking distance to the citadel, downtown, waterfront (including Pier 21 Immigration Museum and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic)
Luxury hotel in the heart of the city - walking distance to the waterfront and downtown, great staff, great amenities, loved the little touch of apples for guests, in addition to luxury standards such as robes, slippers, daily newspaper, etc.
