Stay was awesome, mainly because of parking in hotel in centre of Hamburg and free. Only thing I would point as negative, was lack of main light in a room. There were lamps that could be turned on, but even then the feel was ... shadowy, which is not bad thing, but sometimes you need light!.

I would recommend this hotel. POSITIVES: The room was spacious and nice. The breakfast was excellent, freshly squeezed orange juice, good bread, nice selection. Friendly staff; ready to help; ready to server coffee, ready to recommend restaurants. NEGATIVES: The shower was a bit small The Wi-Fi did not work for the entire stay Providing a Nespresso machine in the room is great value, but it did not work

Fabulous hotel
I absolutely loved this hotel. Having worked in Hamburg for many years, I always stayed at the old faithfuls and never really looked elsewhere. I just wish I had found this hotel then, I would definitely have made it a must go to place. The staff are excellent, everyone was so polite, welcoming and left you feeling that they are really happy that you are there. Food was excellent, the breakfast in particular was excellent with so much choice, it is like a mini banquet. The hotel is located a few hundred yards from Holstenstrasse train station from which you can go anywhere around the city easily. Tip: if you are travelling in a small party, get the group ticket which is valid after 9.00am and is up to 5 people to travel anywhere on the city network, including some boat ferries at only 12 euros (cheap way to do a harbour trip). In short, fabulous hotel, great staff, good location, good food, what more do you need?

Supernice and modern hotel
It was a very good stay at the Boston. It is my second time and I would definetively return back again. The room was big with a comfy Kingsize bed and overall clean. The breakfast was included in the price, so you can be safe you’ll be leaving the hotel with a smiling stomach. The receptionist were friendly and expedite me quickly both for C/I and C/O. I highly reccomend this hotel!

Great Stay- Huge Value!
Only stayed for 1 quick night, but the area was great. Definitely in the hip part of town. Rooms are amazingly spacious and comfortable. Great selection from the mini bar. Beds are very comfortable. Spacious walkin closet and huge bathroom with show and tub! They even had a bidet for those that are so inclined. Breakfast was amazing! A huge spread with every and any thing you could want. Would definitely stay here again. Value was over the top!

Cozy, comfortable accommodation
Only 15-20 minutes by taxi from the airport. Located in Altona, Hamburg, which is less than 10 minutes by train to the CBD. Quick and easy check-in with friendly staff who speak fluent English and who are very helpful. The room had generous amount of space and a king sized bed. The ambiance is both cozy and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is a must with a wide selection. It's also a 2 minute walk from the grocery store and 5 minutes from the bus and train stations and taxi rank. If required, staff can call on taxi to pick you up from the hotel. Will definitely consider staying at this hotel again next time I'm in Hamburg.

Amazing hotel in a questionable neighborhood.
Fantastic hotel. But... if you plan on walking from central station like we did, prepare for some interesting neighborhoods. I would recommend taking the metro as there's a station right next to the hotel. Aside from that, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Beautiful inside, welcoming staff, and the room was huge. It had a kitchenette and lounge area, large comfortable bed, and huge bathroom (with a bidet if you're into that kind of thing) and a tub big enough for 2. The included breakfast was the best I've ever had. It blows any hotel breakfast out of the water.

The hotel staff were all so friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean and very pleasant but our stay in Hamberg was during a very wet, dark and cloudy weekend and I found the dim lighting throughout the hotel a bit too dim. I do understand the aim to provide a pleasant ambience but it would have been good to be able to make our room bright when needed. Breakfast was lovely and for us visiting our son nearby the location was perfect. Transport is close, clear and easy to use with all announcements also in English, one of the most welcoming cities I have ever been to, well done the locals of Hamberg

One of best Hotels so far
One of Best hotels so far for me. I stayed for a business propose, it is good enough for me and room was very clean. Only down side is that there is no air-conditioner in a room so it was a little hot during a night. Good breakfast and nice staff. Recommend for everyone.

Top Class Business Hotel In a Great Location
Staying in Hamburg for a week exhibiting at the Messe. This is the second year that me and my colleagues have stayed here and again the hotel scored 10/10 on all counts. Rooms are stylish, spacious, and well appointed. The service is fantastic with the staff going out of their way to attend to our needs. We used the restaurant a lot more this time and the food and service here is top class. Special thanks to Sandro who worked hard to keep us fed and watered!

A Gem of a Hotel
From the outside the Hotel looks like a ordinary building, but once you get inside wow what a great place it is. Decorated and furnished in a modern open plan style, there is a good sized lounge / bar area and decent sized dining area. The room we had was very generous in size and a big bathroom with separate bath and shower, toilet and sink of course and even a bidet. The room was spotlessly clean and was serviced every day. There was a mini bar, (which we did not use), a 42 inch flat screen tv and a table. The only little gripe was that there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but on the morning we left, we found that there was a coffee machine in a room just off the dining room, from which we could have helped ourselves. Oh well! Breakfast was superb with a large choice to eat, from cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, croissants, other German breads, juices and you could choose to have boiled, scrambled, fried or omlette eggs, with bacon and sausage at weekends. The staff we met were all very attentive and friendly and a real credit to the Hotel. All in all this is a gem of a Hotel and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Stylish Friendly Hotel
Stayed there as we were exhibiting at the Hamburg Messe. In previous years we've stayed in the more expensive chain hotels a little closer. Cannot fault the place. It's an easy 20 minute walk to the Messe or a short inexpensive taxi ride. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood - again within walking distance. The hotel is individually styled, has a great bar and restaurant, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Had dinner there the first night and the food and service was first class. Only slight criticism was the cost of the breakfast, but even when this is added-in, the total cost of the stay was much lower than, for example, the Movenpick or Mercure. Will be our first choice for future stays in Hamburg. Thanks to the management and staff at the Boston for looking after me and my colleagues. We look forward to seeing you again.

Wonderful. Our room was more spacious than most Manhattan apartments, with a small kitchen area, a large bathroom replete with spa tub and bidet, and a very sizeable bedroom/living room area. The bed was extremely comfortable and large. Breakfast was top quality, diverse and delicious. Dinner was also very good, though the menu was limited. Health club equipment was also limited, which was disappointing, but overall great place to return to at the end of the day. Service was friendly and helpful. When my husband asked for pickles with his dinner but the kitchen did not have them, the next evening the waiter came looking for us -- he had personally gone to the market and bought pickles for us!

I stay in this hotel on a 35 degree day. Hotel has NO air conditioning. The location is not close to any sights and in a no so good neighbourhood. Front desk have only 1 staff but helpful. Definately NOT a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Enjoyable and productive stay on business.
I picked this hotel because of its location to a company I was visiting. While outside the downtown core, the amenities to this hotel were terrific. Train station was across the street and a 10 minute walk put you in the middle of a variety of restaurants and shops. I also chose this hotel because of the excellent reviews on the internet access which is not accompanied with a surcharge. The connection was very good and I used it heavily to conduct my business which is mostly done on remote access. Very impressed with this aspect of the hotel. Staff was great. Stayed in a suite on the 4th floor that was massive and the cleanliness was terrific. While there wasn't A/C, the June temperature and humidity could be tolerated with generous opening windows and a fan provided in the room. Very much enjoyed the stay here.

This hotel has a great atmosphere, trendy but not too trendy - very nice decor. My room was huge, clean and comfortable (apart from the pillows but this is generally a German thing!) Staff were great, breakfast was very good (lots of choice, best bacon I've had in Germany). The gym was very well equipped, I didn't use the sauna. Location may not suit everyone but I will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with great amenities!
This Hotel was awesome! We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was fantastic with all kinds of juice, meats, eggs, granola, yogurt, etc. It was great! The other reason we chose this Hotel was for the exercise facility which appeared to be good in the pictures and it was in person as well. The gym was more than sufficient to get a good workout with dumbells up to 20Kg each, a sauna, and huge shower and lounge are as well. The staff all spoke english very well, and the Wi-fi was very fast as well. The only thing that was a little scary about this hotel was that their was quite a bit of grafitti outside the hotel on neighboring buildings, but the longer we were there the more we realized that it was nothing to worry about. We never felt scared walking around in that area. The train station is 1 block away and there is a big Grocery Store even closer, along with a couple little restaurants including a pizzeria. The walk into the city center is only an hour and provides plenty of things to see along the walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of you looking for a great hotel at an affordable price. Oh, and one last thing that I really liked about this hotel was the fact that there was not a million rooms. I think there were 4 or 5 floors total, and each floor had probably 10-12 rooms.

The hotel overall was good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were all extremely pleasant and efficient. The restaurant and room service meals were very good and of high quality. In terms of drawbacks, the first floor (where they have the hotel rooms, not the lobby, or restaurant area) smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, the buffet breakfast was limited. Not enough vegetable dishes, mostly just dairy and meat products.

A really pleasant surprise
We got this room because it was a good deal, and were delighted; I wish we could have stayed a few more days! The room was very large, the bed was comfortable, all the details and appointments were clean, modern and well-designed. We had a mini-kitchen area, effective blackout curtains, flatscreen TV, a very large bathroom with separate shower and tub, and some expensive but tasty drinks from the lobby bar. The hotel is a brief and safe walk from the nearest public transport. The design of the hotel is modern and very aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast was tasty. The reception staff in particular were extremely helpful, polite, and had a great attitude; supplying us with restaurant recommendations and reservations, and taxis, with no delay. Highly recommended!

Just 2 mins from the S-Bahn station this is an excellent hotel, and the staff were very helpful and spoke excellent english. The only down side for us was no tea or coffee in the room, however it was easy to get from the bar.

Delightful stay
It was such a treat to check into this delightful hotel. We were greeted upon arrival by cheerful staff and a glass of something slightly alcoholic and restorative after our long trip there. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and included wifi. We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next morning. Everything was wonderful. Our only regret was not being able to spend another night there.

boston hotel in hamburg - great value for money
booked this hotel without really looking into it, it was cheap so just booked it online. it wasn't until the day before i was meant to arrive that i checked it out on the boston hotel web site and was very surprised to see that it looked five star. arrived early and was given a room without having to wait for check in time, i was also given an upgrade which was great. the room was very nice and clean. and the shower was amazing! if your staying in hamburg its definately the place to stay, staff are very helpful and are more than willing to help with anything.

A nice hotel in Hamburg with big rooms and a good restaurant/bar downstairs. The neighborhood immediately surrounding is pleasant though there's not a huge amount of action when you step out onto the street. Still the S-Bahn is a three minute walk, or you can get to more happening streets in about ten minutes on foot. Hamburg taxis are pretty affordable as well (at least compared to other parts of Germany). The rooms are huge, possibly a little too huge, but many will like this. Free internet, reasonably priced minibar, big bathrooms with a pretty nice shower. Overall a nice look to the rooms as well. I would take issue with a couple of details, but I'm being picky here: the small LCD tv that isn't widescreen format; the light switches are a bit finicky and sometimes didn't work quite right; the layout of the hallways is a bit odd, kind of strange feng shui to the whole place. Despite these things though, I thought it was a great place overall. Especially the service--every employee I came into contact with was great, even the cleaning staff seemed cheery in the mornings.

Very Cozy
Second time we've stayed. Is very cozy with a nice fireplace and sofas to relax downstairs with. Has a tub and shower which is a nice feature. One of the best breakfasts out there. Both my teenage daughters and my wife & I love it, so that's saying something. :-)
