Brand new hotel with great access to UKEPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Nothing not to like about this hotel. Brand new. Spacious rooms. Great food. Right next to UKE and in the Eppendorf area.
Extremely friendly and helpful hotel staff from check-in to checkout. Front desk staff speak excellent English and restaurant staff speak English well enough. The hotel is brand new and everything is in great condition. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, if not luxurious. The bedding is extremely comfortable. The restaurant is well-run and the breakfast is well worth the 19 Euros. It makes a great start to the day. To access the rest of Hamburg, we just used an after 9 am Group ticket for the transit system. EUR 10.40 is good for up to 5 people for the entire central city all day long with as many segments on bus or train as you wish. #25 bus very convenient from across Martinistrasse from the UKE driveway next door to the Kellinghusenstrasse subway station (U1 and U3). Just look for #25 to Burgstr. to get to the subway and the #25 to Altona to get back to the hotel.

Very comfortable and spacious roomsPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Very modern and clean
Cons: I was not able to access spa/gym. But I did not check with reception as I was not very keen on it.
Location: My main purpose was to attend a course. But I visited the city Center and Reeperbahn of course. It is an experience.
The hotel is very comfortable with in a walkable distance to bus stop with good metro connections. I took taxi to and from airport which saved me changing from bus to metro and to a different line. The food in restaurant is very nice. The choice at breakfast is very good variety.

Overall excellent hotel but location a bit farPosted Sep 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
I enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were modern, well appointed, and comfortable. My room was a little close to the elevator so I could hear that but I didnt ask to change since I was only there one night. My only negative is that it is a bit far from the Ubahn and while the bus drops you off right at the hotel, its still a bit of a task to figure out and THEN make all the connections. Its about a fifteen minute walk from the U bahn, a simple walk though. The neighborhood is very nice and fairly quiet. If it were closer to town I would definitely stay here again.

Although my stay was a brief one night the hotel provided a very comfortable haven. While the menu was fairly restrictive the food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant friendly and efficient.

Functional modern hotel in odd location.Posted Jun 17, 2012
Brand new, almost too new, hotel in Hamburg Eppendorf (still smelled of paint and carpet glue). The interior is cool, modern and functional, nothing for traditionalists. We were aware of the location (meaning, this hotel is ON CAMPUS of the University Hospital), which worked for our needs, but this hotel is nothing for the average traveler, and they fail to mention this detail on their website. Useful, if you want to be close to the hospital, or for whatever reason need to be within walking distance to Eppendorf (where my family is). If you are looking for a tourist-friendly location, this is not for you. We thought breakfast was included, alas were charged for it.

Business StopoverPosted May 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very clean, efficent modern hotel set in a pleasant and quiet neighbouhood. Good from a business view as good room for work, very helpful and friendly staff, only had breakfast in the hotel and very good value, fresh buffett with very large range of food. Range of three deraight german beer in the bar as well. Slight negative is location as lot of taxi rides getting to and from anywhere but with usual German efficiency taxis appear very quickly with knowledgable drivers.
