“Good value for your money”

We stayed for three nights and got very good value for our money. The hotel location is very close to everything in the city centre, a 5 min walk to the main train station Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, art galleries and and shopping districts, and walking distance to the beautiful parks and cafes along the Alster. The hotel is clean, the service is great, and you can't beat the price. A warning: if you scare easily you may find the neighbourhood a bit unsettling, with sex shops, gambling casinos, and a few ladies of the night hanging around. But I enjoyed the great turkish cafes, shops, and colourful street life around the hotel. Lots of stairs to climb though - the elevator stops only every two floors - and you have to be in good physical shape to stay here. The bathroom and shower is almost too small to turn around in. And I received no reply to emails and had to call them on the phone instead. But the friendly reception staff and the excellent breakfast made me forget any complaints I may have had. I can definitely recommend this budget hotel, and we enjoyed our stay.

“Good valve, will stay again”

The thirty or so steps to reception are a killer and the elevator services only the in between floors so if you have alot of luggage it can be difficult.The included wireless and breakfasts make it good for a overnight stay and make it really good value in my opinion. Close to the train station,there are plenty of places to eat, the turkish I can recommend and there are supermarkets etc all round. Stayed there twice would stay again, I think its good value for money and the 5 minute walk to the train station is great.

“Good for people seeking nightlife”

I thought the bed was comfortable, room was clean, I slept too late for breakfast so I can't comment on that. I would recommend this hotel for younger groups, but maybe not for families as it is a bit of a red light district. It is a one minute walk to the main station along a busy street and it was good value for money.

“Staff were not very helpful and the free wifi was limited to one person per room.”

I did not like the fact that long usernames and passwords needed to be entered for WIfi Access. Plus this was limited to one person per room. This seems a rather dated rule as wifi is a must for travellers not only for pleasure but safety etc. The staff did not speak great english but the hotel was clean. i would probably pay a bit more for those extra comforts i was missing.

“Cheap & Tacky! Dont bother!”

I wont recomend this hotel to anyone at all. Although the location is very central & close to central station but there are others that is cheaper and cleaner then this one. My room was stinky of cigarettes and dull. The night stuff (and old chap) was very rude. I was really looking forward to check out the next day. Dont bother! Oh and another thing, do not trust the pictures they posted on here. The reality is worst!

“the location of the hotel was terrible”

As we arrived we sow the enterance was a sex-shop. Than they send us to another hotel which located across tehe street,which had also another sex-shop on the enterance.
