Comfortable and clean. Had trouble getting into the hotel as nobody was at reception in the evening. And they added extra tourist tax to the bill at the end.

Bad smell in the room throughout the whole night
There war a really bad smell in the room. As if someone hadn’t flushed the toilet, but for the whole night. I‘d not recommend this hostel. The staff was friendly, but aware of the problem, so why are they renting it?

Perfect location, quaint, and ideal.
Wonderful small hotel, very ideal for longer stays. Beautiful and quiet location, within walking distance to restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again!

Located in a very nice residential neighborhood. It's about a 10 min walk to the U-Bahn and about 5 min walk to the DB regional train. The room was fine, the beds were a little saggy and the shower was awkward and little dangerous to get out of. Breakfast was good and all the staff were very nice.

Not worth the price per night
I had bad experience in this hotel. We stayed for two nights, the hotel seemed more like a motel then a hotel. Ordinary bed and beddings, no shampoo in the bathroom - just a simple hand wash and body wash. To top it all of they did not clean our room after the first night. For what they charged per night the hotel definitely was not worth it. I would not go back to this hotel.

Very quiet hotel
We had a lovely stay in this quiet small hotel. The staff were excellent and it was a homely and comfortable environment. Nice clean room that was kept clean daily and good selection of food for breakfast. Great scrambled eggs! We would definitely stay again.

Nice, clean hotel
Very clean, nice hotel. We have been pleasantly surprised by the combination of good rate including breakfast, availability of parking, wifi internet and friendly staff. Good for family.

Things got a lot worst before getting better.
The original ( Standard) room was tiny. first time I stayed in a room that you had to enter the bathroom sidways. The room was grotty and did not look as it was decorated for years. after a very uncomfortable night I complained about the size of the room and was upgraded to a bigger room at no extra cost.Things got worst when I found a small lump of metal size of a l air gun pellet in my coffee cup at breakfast which I brought it to manager's attention. On the plus side the staff were really great and understanding. The hotel parking was very small but there was always ample parking outside for my big long wheel base Mercedes van. The hotel was a fair walk to the local shops and restaurants but any closer and there would have been no parking so that was very handy too. I may stay there again but will take a metal detector with me next time.

VERY GOOD CHOISE
A NICE SURPRISE: WARM , CLEAN AND BIG ROOM, WI FI OK, BREAKFAST OK, STAFF FRIENDLY, LOCATION NICE ANS SAFE ( JUST A FEW SUBWAY STOPS FROM THE CENTRAL TRAIN STATION) TAKE THE BUS 23 FROM THE METRO STOP ( just 3 stops) I WILL COME BACK FOR SURE .

Convenient, quiet hotel.
Breakfast was delicious, service was great (German style, so not overbearing with the questions and smiles, but cordial and practical). Room had exactly what I needed and was very clean.

Good base for visit to Hamburg
We stayed there on two occasions, separated by a couple of nights in a different town. We needed to get to/from other parts of Hamburg as well as Lubeck so the location was good. When the underpass towards Wandsbek Markt is finished it will be much easier to get around the city to the north and east. Access to the U-Bahn is easy at Wandsbek Markt and parking is cheap at the shopping centre.

A small hotel with very good location
Hotel is located in a quite residential area. Good breakfast with warm bread and good variety. Very clean room and lobby. I will recommend everyone to stay at this hotel.

Excellent value hotel
Stayed for three nights in a triple room with two friends. Enough space in the room, which had a decent size and clean bathroom and a balcony. On the 2nd floor but not too much issue with the stairs. Breakfast is a small buffet style with cold meats, rolls, yoghurts, fruit etc and scambled eggs- plus coffee. Hadn't realised it was included in price so even more of a bargain. About a 15 minute walk to the u-bahn from which you can go anywhere across the city all day for 6 euros (9am onwards until 6am of the following day) but you can always break this up with a nice Ulzer Pils at Johnny B Goodes about half way! Friendly staff and excellent value in a leafy suburb of hamburg near the race course. give it a shot.

This is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms in a beautiful neighborhood however it is quite far from the city center. You can walk to the subway in about 15 minutes but if you want to be where the action is this is not the place

The hotel was really nice. The service was excellent, the man at the receptionist helped me to carry my heavy bags to the second floor. The room was spacious and very clean. Everything in the room seemed pretty new. The only downside is that the location of this hotel isn't so great, but if you don't mind the 1 km walk to the U-Bahn station then it's fine!

Nice overnight stay
Older (maybe family-run) hotel, but in good condition. Friendly staff. Big room with a balcony on the third floor was clean and modern. No elevator. Nice European breakfast (meats, rolls, yogurt, etc.) included. Easy parking along the side street (we parked about 20 feet from the lobby). Good value.

Nice Hotel
Good location with a busstop nearby and the underground. The rooms are very clean and nice, good value for money, the rooms are quite big with a couch, chairs and table and the bed was very comfortable.

Die Wände sind etwas dünn und der die Rauchmelder haben in der Nacht 5x Alarm ausgelöst. Weiß nicht, warum. Das Hotel kann auch nichts für seine Gäste. Ansonsten gut.

Die Rezeption war mit un kompetenten Personal besetzt. Die Zimmer sind sehr schmuddelig Sauberkeit im Bad war okay ich kann dieses Hotel leider nicht weiter empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen und doch in Laufweite einer Hauptstraße, in denen laufend Busse in 5 Minuten zum nächsten U-Bahnhof fahren. Die Zimmer sind aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad ist recht eng. Die Heizung zeigt nur dann wirklich Effekt, wenn man sie auf voll aufdreht. Auch die Chipkarte zum Öffnen der Tür wollte manchmal erst nach mehreren Versuchen funktionieren. Und schließlich war der Lichtschalter für die beiden Hauptlampen im Wohnraum kaputt, was ich gleich bei meiner Ankunft gemeldet habe, das wurde aber in den 4 Tagen meines Aufenthalts nicht repariert.

Preis-Leistung Top. Check in war super - wir waren zwei Stunden zeitiger da und konnten das Zimmer direkt beziehen. Frühstück war gut. Allerdings könnte das Zimmer mal Renoviert werden(Tapeten hatten zwei drei größere Stellen die Ausbesserung benötigen) Sonst alles Top.

Wir müssten noch eine halbe Stunde vor der Zimmertür warten bis wir rein durften, da die Putzkraft noch am Arbeiten war. Dann ließ sich die Badezimmertür nicht richtig schließen - sie ging von alleine wieder auf. Großes Manko war die Schlüsselkarte. Durch den Hoteleingang kamen wir abends problemlos. Jedoch brauchten wir anschließend und bei jedem weiteren Versuch, unser Zimmer zu betreten ca. 5 Minuten bevor die Karte endlich an der Tür akzeptiert wurde....
