Handy for the main station

The staff was really helpful. However, noise could be heard from the street throughout the night. Also, there is no elevator, so be aware that you will have to drag your luggage up multiple flights of stairs to get to your room.

I loved how easy it was to get to from the train station! It was a quick walk from the central station. The part of town was a little unsettling at night but I never felt unsafe. I think if you are use to a surburban safe setting you would have thought the part of town was very scary. The over all amenities were great a shower and sink right in the room and a shared toliet not that far from the room. There was only heating. Around 3 or so in the morning there was a lot of drunk people yelling. With this said it was a good price for what I got.

Room stank like someone pissed in the shower. Shared toilet and stinks all over the corridor. The local area is a beehive of drugs and staff looked like they were forced to work there

Single World Explorer
The hotel is very central to everything, including to Hamburg Central Station. The place is clean. Private room, private shower, shared toilette. Staff was friendly. However, check in is a bit strict. Front Desk has to let you into the building. Then you attain keys to your room from front desk. You need to leave keys to front desk when leave the building. It's just a bit of a hassle and makes it inconvenient to have guest visits.

The room had a slightly weird smell when you walked in. The hotel is very unique and at first may seem quite odd. However, the staff is incredibly friendly and we felt safe the entire time. The room and common areas were kept very clean. Overall, would recommend this place for a cheap stay in Hamburg!

For the most part, my stay was comfortable, convienient and reasonably priced. The room was not heated and the area had drunk locals shouting really loud at around: 3:00 to 5:00 am.

I do NOT recommend!!! Bad hotel and area
I would not recommend this place at all..... It is in the worst part of the city.... A very dangours street filled with hookers and drug dealers. Also I all my years of travel I have never met a more rude lady at the deck.... Must be a owner because anyone else they would have fired her....

Street noise from the bar opposite kept us awake until 03:00. Even with windows shut. No air conditioner so we boiled. Steep stairs to Reception. No lift. Toilets shared and in corridor Don’t bother. Better available

Hamburg stay
Hotel close to main train station and underground good for exploring Hamburg and the local area. Lots of steps so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. Comfortable and clean with a shared shower room. We found the area was quite noisy during the early hours of the morning.

Happy Bank Holiday in Hamburg
Excellent location being 2 min walk from HBF, room was great, big enough for the 3 comfy beds with a TV and a shower and sink in the room. Fresh towels and bedding made every day was a pleasant surprise. 24 hour front desk were great with our late arrival and giving recommendations of places to go visit and where is a tourist trap. Would Highly recommend

My stay in the hotel was enjoyable with fast services except disturbing night noises. The soap is very tiny & would be better to increase the size. Same goes to shampoo. It won't be costly to add tooth brush.

Staff are rude and abrupt
Some staff are really unfriendly and abrupt. They thought they are doing you a favour to talk to you! facilities are very minimal and poorly maintained. 1. separate toilet from room. 2. TV set does not work 3. Wifi is free but poor signal throughout, No lift or escalator, 5. unexpected 4% surcharge on payment for room. we thought we paid for the room already via Expedia.

we stayed in hamburg only one night since we were in transfer to other city, we booked a 4 person room (4 guys) and it was excatly what we needed, the staff was friendly and the location is really great (2 blocks from central station). The only thing is the rooms seem a bit old but nothing too bad.

Good value for money
Hotel clean, comfortable, with adequate breakfast. There was no noise when we stayed there (was expecting it due to reading past reviews). Only problem was had to share the toilet but it was very clean.

4% surcharge! Free internet in room didnt work, unless I went into hall and stood under the modem. Hotel was in good position and close to railway station. Was also on the fringe of the red light district, so best not go any further unless u are looking for that. Room was large, and comfort ok. Got no sleep as the street was so noisy, even with the windows shut. Bring ear plugs. Breakfast was included and was a pleasant surprise.

This must have been the noisiest hotel I have stayed in since India. I bought ear plugs for the second night! It is right next to the dodgy areas so there are people in the streets all day and night, shouting to each other. Not good for a night sleep. The gaps under and around the door to the room also let you hear anyone in the hall. The younger staff members are great, but the older woman is far from welcoming. It is about a 5 min walk from the station but the area is not the best. Even lonely planet say that the only shady area in the whole of Hamburg is the square just 2 min walk from this hotel. We just had a shower in the room and a shared toilet which was not very clear when booking.

Great location
The hotel is only 2 mins walk from the central station, it is a budget hotel so what you pay is what you get really. The only issue I had was that when I made the booking for the hotel from the website, I thought the payment had been charged straight away, but when I checked into the hotel I was asked to pay. At the time I didn't have enough cash so I had to pay by the credit card, there was a 4% surcharge.

Da jeg ankom, var receptionisten utålmodig og uhøflig. Havde ikke særlig god forståelse for mig. Ud over var hotellet fint til de få dage, men ikke noget, jeg ville vælge igen, da jeg ikke synes, at folk var gode til at gøre rent efter sig på toilettet, og jeg synes, at stedet var et lidt utrygt sted at bo, og en del råben fra gaden, samt at hotellet virkede lidt forladt. Værelserne var okay, og rengøringen var fin.

This place is near hauptbahnhof in a gay area .. we had a room with shower .. not great, but fine .. the corridor was smelly because of a sewer problem I guess. The staff is nice . The mattress a kinda hard.. outside there was some noise of people.. if you don’t mind all this and only use the place to sleep. It’s good to stay

Verhältnis Preis-Leistung enttäuschen, Zimmer und Umgebung sind heruntergekommen, das Gemeinschaftsklo im Korridor und mangelhaft funktionstüchtig, die Dusche eine Kabine im engen Zimmer, der Rauchgeruch im Zimmer dürftig überdeckt, die Matraze roch nach Schweiss, in der Dusche lag noch ein benutztes Duschmittel. Wir würden hier nicht mehr absteigen.

Das Zimmer war trotz Fenster dunkel - man musste tagsüber das Licht anmachen. Es hat nach Zigerettenrauch gestunken. Die Gemeinschaftstoilette hatte ein kaputtes Schloss. Unsere Zimmerbewohner haben bis 0 Uhr lautstark eine Party gefeiert inklusive Karaokeeinlage.

Old place in a neighbour in which I felt not safe. Room needs heavy refurbishment - the shower was in a cabinet, bedsheets were stained. Paid a lot and had an unpleasant stay.
