“Convenient Location”

This hotel worked out perfect for our group, as we were traveling by train and could walk to the hotel with our suitcases. Bus tours operate from right in front of the train station. The local transit system is also available right at the train system if you want to travel farther, although there is plenty to do within walking distance. As with any hotel in any city, you do have to be careful which direction to head to since some of the areas are not so nice, especially at night. Since we were right on the main street across from the Hauptbahnhof, the area is traveled plenty and there were lots of choices for eating out. We did not get a chance to use many of the amentities available, since we were out walking around or on the bus when it rained. The hotel was clean, just a bit worn in a few places. I would definitley recommend it.

“Hamburg - End of a European driving holiday”

Found the hotel close to Mainline station. Booked as it had a car parking facility (the one where the cars are put on a shelf!!). The hotel room was large with a clean bathroom. The swimming pool was large enough and virtually deserted but the gym equipment was mimimal. If you want to use the sauna or steam room remember to switch on when you use the pool as it takes 20 minutes for them to heat up! A good breakfast buffet.

I stayed at the Reichshof a few years ago and was happy with it, especially the location so close to centre, Hauptbahnhof / S Bahn and Airport Bus. This time it seemed to have been refurbished, all the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful and were only too happy to arrange a late checkout for me. I found the buffet breakfast and bistro good value for money in very comfortable surroundings. If I go back to Hamburg I will use this hotel again

specifically chose the hotel due to its location - opposite the main train station making airport transfer to hotel easy certainly worth its 4 stars - pool and sauna were excellent, the staff were really friendly although not the cheapest hotel it was worth every penny - would certainly go back

“Superb hotel, superb location by the Grand Central station”

I found this hotel very comfortable to stay in. Being directly opposite the Hauptbahnhof (Grand Central station) is so convenient and the Jasper bus from the airport parks right outside the Hauptbahnhof too - for only 5 euros, so no need for (expensive) taxis! There are plenty of things to do & eat in the Hauptbahnhof too. Highly recommended.

“Well-maintained hotel in an excellent location”

This is a well-kept hotel located near the main train station in Hamburg. Room rates are reasonable. Service is good. I highly recommend it as a good value in an excellent rotation.

No wifi and they charge the internet fee, even use your own laptop in room. nearly every hotel provide wifi with free of charge now.

Good hotel, very good central location-right opposite main railway station. Although Four star, not quite up to British standards of Four star. Good value for money. Good restaurant, though service a little slow.

“Fading elegance but value for money”

Location is very convenient although some shabby streets behind the hotel and some dubious characters hang around the station opposite. Hotel lobby is very grand and makes you feel like you have arrived. Staff formal but pretty welcoming. Have stayed several times. The rooms are all different but often quite big. They are all a bit old fashioned and the plumbing quirky. I also find the room lighting a bit dark. Booking ahead I always got a good price so I didnt mind going back.
