Hotel was not at a bad location but it does need some work to get it to be more comfortable. They need to have a fan in the room since they do not have AC. They need to have a refrigerator and also a phone and an iron which all hotels usually have standard in the rooms

Great Location

Very convenient location. The room is a bit small but perfectly adequate. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was ok with a good selection of cold meats and cheese. The only hot food was scrambled eggs. The only drawback is that it is very noisy outside and with the windows shut it doesn't completely muffle the noise but the room then gets very stuffy & hot.

The facility of hotel is updated but small room.

Pros: Facilities are consider updated. Breakfast is fine too.
Cons: I am afraid that room size could not be change, and that is needed to be improve.
Location: Great location just across the train station.
Hotel is consider updated but small room. Rooms are noisy by facing the street. So ask for room is faced court yard. Ok with breakfast. Good location and reasonable price too.

Unfriendly Staff

I would not stay at this hotel again. The desk staff is generally unfriendly. I booked two back-to-back reservations, related to a business exposition at the Messe. On my way out the door the first day of the show, the desk clerk informed me that I had to change rooms immediately. There was no prior notification, not even a note left in my room or with my key. Lousy communication and terrible customer service. Had considered staying one additional night due to a schedule change, but instead moved to a hotel closer to the airport. I'm done with this hotel.

Great location for central Hamburg.

Pros: Central location. Good value for money. Excellent breakfast..
Cons: Reception staff could be more friendly.
Location: All the central attractions. The zoo is worth visiting. We spent the whole day there.
We enjoyed our seven night stay at the Continental Hamburg. The hotel is diagonally opposite the Hauptbahnof, and next to the Deutsches SchauSpiel theatre. So it was only a few minutes' walk from the station after arriving on the S Bahn from the airport. The Rathaus and Alster were about ten minutes' walk from the hotel. We had booked a room for two and were given a room with a double and a single bed, so there was plenty of space. The shower room was a generous size and in immaculate condition. The WiFi worked well. An excellent breakfast is provided. There was no variation from day to day, but there was plenty of choice, and the quality of the food was excellent. My only slightly negative comment is that some of the reception staff seemed rather distant, and would not say a word, even though you were walking right past them. Just a simple greeting would have made a lot of difference.

Location: Near bahnhof, downtown, main art gallery
Generally good. Desk person was uncomfortable, though, with the request to inspect a pre-booked room.
