Area around the property had a lot of homeless people and felt unsafe after dark. Hotel is basic and quite dated in the rooms but clean. Staff are friendly. Breakfast more basic than anticipated.

Mediocre
Price quality is average. Location to main train station is convenient however after dark the street is scary and full of junkies/homeless, it looks like walking in the Ghetto. The hotel itsself is very outdates and does not look like the photos. Bathroom and bedlinnen were clean, breakfast was good and staff very friendly, which somewhat justifies the price.

Not a good area for a first trip to Hamburg!
The hotel is convenient to access the central train station but the area is not pleasant. Also note the basic rooms do not have a private bathroom... which I haven't realized when I booked.

Overpriced and crappy hotel with exceptionally terrible customer service. No bathroom in room (very unclear when booking that this would be the case). Bad area of town. Do NOT stay here!

The room was big and the staff was friendly (for the most part). The area was incredibly noisy and seemed somewhat unsavory (sex shop, people who looked pretty strung out hanging around on the sidewalk.

First and foremost: the staff deserves 5/5. Everybody was very helpful and friendly at all times. Breakfast was great - maybe think about non-dairy alternatives for coffee to better serve allergies as there are no fridges in rooms to keep your own milk. The room was small and not made for two people to stay. One person had to crawl in via the bottom of the bed. This is not convenient for a 4-night-stay (we booked a Standard room). This better not be standard. We needed the one plug at the bed for a medical device during the night, therefore we didn‘t have a night lamp anymore. There were only 3 sockets total in the room (already counting the TV one) and the one in the bathroom was not usable because the water hit it when it was in use. While my parents‘ bathroom showed signs of mold ours was newly renovated. The shower curtain (curtains in hotels are disgusting anyways and I didn‘t want to ask if they get swapped between guests because I didn‘t want to know the answer. It looked yellowish at the bottom) was not covering the edges and barely the bottom. Therefore, after showering the bathroom floor was flooded. The corners of the newly renovated bathrooms already showed signs of mold. Such a shame!! Please invest in a better and more sustainable way when investing! The location is conveniently close to the Central Station but the street is VERY scary. Walking to the hotel after a show / theater at night was scary. Overall, not good value for money except for breakfast & staff.

The area is less sleazy than it was, but for the price I paid it was fine. Clean, slightly worn, nice staff. Slept fine . Good breakfast only thing missing is hot chocolate. The only thing that made me feel slightly unsafe was as a single female traveler was the gangs of men roaming the street, and some have ‘issues’ but I work with worse and you see plenty of police.

The hotel is very well situated, 5 minutes walk from Hamburg central station. Breakfast is super. Receptionists are super friendly. The room is clean and change towels everyday. I frankly felt confortable. The area is has a lot of markets around.

The hotel is on a busy street in a very ethnic neighborhood a 10-15 min. walk from the train station (if you find the exit from the station!). It's in an old building with a lift (but there are about 10 steps up to the lift). Our room was very small, was difficult to walk around the bed if someone was at the desk. The bathroom also very small and the shower curtain would stick to your body while taking a shower.....was a challenge. The breakfast area was clean and well attended to with the usual European offerings (cold cereal, yogurt, bread, nice selection of cold meats/cheeses and hard cooked and scrambled eggs). The staff was all pleasant and helpful. This hotel is next to "the World of Sex". We always felt very safe in the hotel, but walking at night from the train station was sometimes a bit creepy.

No A/C. In the August heat, the room was very warm. Only remedy was to open the window. That, however, made you feel like being on the very noisy street - all night long. Not a pleasure. Otherwise, the hotel was fine, breakfast was good. No parking at the hotel. Many restaurants and fruit markets nearby.

It's a great stay close to the train station in a vibrant multi-culti street. The only advice I'd like to give the hotel is to train staff a bit better. Because of staff I did not have a anti-allergic pillow for 2 of my 3 nights. Staff at breakfast did not use gloves and did not tell guests to use gloves while using the buffet. The breakfast was great though. :)

It was 30-35 degrees outside in the daytime and the heat lingered in our room – but!! even though there was not aircondition, we could get a fan in our room for free. We also got corona-friendly breakfast. The water was a bit unpredictable hot-and-cold. Really nice location for seeing a lot of art and just five minutes away from the train station.

Ok for young traveller's, not for kids.
We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but chose to leave the night before check out. It's an OK hotel if you don't mind the interior being severely used and run down. The carpet smelled muskey due to the lack of ventilation and drainage in the bathroom. The location is perfect for young couples who is going to Hamburg for a weekend trip, since it's so close to the center. There are plenty of restaurants and Middle Eastern grocery stores, which we loved, however the surrounding is not family friendly. Had it just been my husband and I, the place would have been OK. The internet is very slow and the doors inside are not fire proof as legally required by law in Denmark. The walls were stained with all kinds of stuff and the curtain was dirty, where you could see ashes and dirt on the white see through curtain. The bed was hard and the TV channels were very limited for internationals. I'm a traveler and I've seen my fair share of hotels. This one is ok, if you are single or a couple of a group of young friends traveling together. But this is not a family friendly hotel by any means.

Nice clean, quiet hotel in a good location
This was a nice,clean, quiet hotel in a good location close to the central station and within easy walking distance of many top sightseeing locations. The addition of a kettle would have been nice but otherwise it had everything you need and at a good price. The breakfast was also very good.

Nice hotel in central area. Above a sex shop but that did not bother us, better than a noisy bar. Nice square around the corner to the left of the hotel. Did not see any drug dealing as some posts said. 4 women in group, no one felt uneasy or unsafe. Typical central city street. Rooms very clean, shower was a little bit too small. Beds comfy, breakfast nice, although they did not serve gluten free bread.

economic stay in Hamburg city
The hotel is an economic option to stay in Hamburg inner town, it is a short walk to the railway station. The building is a bit oldish. The single economy room looked at a relatively silent sidestreet. The bathroom is private, but it is really very small, the shower is extreme tight. Hot breakfast is a good start for the day.

A little outdated but clean. Newer bathroom. I should have better checked the neighbourhood because the photo of the hotel is photo shopped (ground floor store is an erotic shop called World of sex). The neighbourhood was a bit noisy and could feel insecure or uncomfortable for families with younger children.

5 minutes walk from the Hamburg HBF makes this hotel very convenient. The area on this street could be viewed as a bit seedy, but felt quite comfortable. There are many markets/grocery shops/halal food shops open around here. Close by around the corner is a nice square with a number of café/bars and outside tables. Our standard double room was quite spacious and bathroom was good. Furnishing is a little tired but still quite ok and well maintained. Front reception staff all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room very good. Enjoyed our stay.
