“not impressed”
The hotel had only one elevator which was not in opperation.The signs on the elevator doos said -OUT OF SERVICE -and we had to walk flights of stairs evn after the elevator was fixed. This is not exceptable.Other wise it was a nice and clean hotel. Good location , near airport.
“I would be glad to go back again”
The hotel has a nice location. Transport is good. The breakfast is super.And the rooms are clean . Liked the telephone service it was important to me. All was very good .
“Friendly staff with quality accomodations!”
The only downside to this hotel is that it is quite a ways out from the city center. It took about 25 mins. to ride the subway from the central station to the bus stop, where you generally had to wait 10-15 mins for the 5-6 min. bus ride to the stop near the hotel. Then, it was a 5 minute walk. Fine to do once each day, but don't plan on going back and forth to the hotel in the middle of the day. The accomodations were clean and modern and the neighborhood was a quiet residential street. Fortunately, we were able to open the windows as night because we couldn't seem to get the heat to turn off. Wish the full breakfast was included in the night's stay because it looked delicious!
“Not exactly an "airport" hotel”
The hotel facilities were good; but if you are travelling by train, be aware that the train station in Hamburg is a long way from the airport; and the bus that goes from the train station to the airport ends up nowhere near this hotel. A taxi from the train station to this hotel will run you at least 30 Euro. There is a complementary shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The driver was not friendly, did not warm up the van (it was about 10 degrees out), and did not handle any bags - we had to load and unload our own. Needless to say, there was no tip involved.
