“might come back when in Hamilton”
I was in 317, the last room on the right from JUne 20th through the 25th.. The last 2 nights were a nightmare coming from room 315. 3 young rambonctious guys who were very noisy and inconsiderate to surroundings also constantly slamming doors. The evening and night Friday to Saturday 2 woman joined them. They tried to see if the adjoinuing door was open. Party continued in the hallway and slamming doors. Loud laughter and screaming still at 3 AM. I had talked to the front desk and the people next door went 2 rooms down, but kept running back and forth salmming doors, playing loud music etc etc. This morning the cleaning crew was on their hand and knees to scrape up gum and the hall way was liitered with stuff. Not good at all. My suggestion is to put people accordingly. I am 77 years old and you could try to put young and old separate. I know nothing is perfect, but I had to pay an extra rate for extending from Friday to Saturday and I had no rest. Had to drive by myself for 5 hours to get home. Staff was very friendly.
“Not what I expected”
The staff at the hotel was not as helpful as I thought they should be. They weren't really concerned that we had a smoking room when we requested non smoking. We were told that they clean the rooms well so the smoke smell would be minimal. It was not minimal. The entire lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. I also asked for directions to Niagara Falls and the front desk did not want to give me directions thru town because I could take the skyway. I didn't want to take the skyway and had to keep insisting for the directions. The hairdryer in the room also would work for 3 min, then I would have to let it rest a bit and try again. On the plus side, Hamilton was beautiful and the hotel was in a good location. I have to think for a long while before staying there again though.
