“Everything was great except for one little thing ...”

We were very satisfied with the Crowne Plaza Hamilton, with one exception: we could hear everything in the room next door (including regular conversations and the rustling of plastic bags when the guests were packing to go). We were in an adjoining suite, with a door between the rooms, so perhaps this is why we could hear everything. Otherwise, the hotel is great value for the money.

“Extremely nice people.”

Our stay at the crowne plaza was amazing due to the co-operation of the staff and how nicely they treated us. I highly recommend staying here if your ever in the hamilton area. The breakfast buffet is something nobody should ever miss.

“Very Pleased”

I found the rooms to be well appointed, spotless and pleasing overall. The bathroom was small but very nice and the jacuzzi was an unexpected extra. I was very pleased especially with the rate at which we paid. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Would definitely stay here again”

I was in Hamilton to write the GREs -- this hotel is extremely close to the Protometric Testing Centre. The staff were fine with me checking out later than the actual check out time. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Room service -- food was good, service not the best. The hotel was under construction, but it wasn't intrusive. Biggest complaint: elevators. I have never seen elevators so slow!

“Nice hotel”

The hotel was very nice, clean and had easy access from the parking garage but the night traffic was very loud and a garbage truck came by at 4:30am for pick up.

“New Year's Eve at the Crowne Plaza Hamilton”

We stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve, we liked its location as it was a 10 minute walk to the Hamilton Convention Centre. We didn't like that only one elevator worked which meant long waits and line-ups for the elevator. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. I would stay at this hotel again.

“Surprising Hotel”

The hotel is located in a poor and dirty part of the downtown core. There are more vacancies then actual stores. There are people outside the hotel loitering and look suspicious. Some of them were looking for handouts. The pool was out-of-order, yet there was no indication anywhere on the Expedia site that the pool was out. Inside the room, there was no mini-bar and in-room service works on shifts, even though the room book states 24 hour service. When I called, I was told that they are closed. I was told to wait until 5pm if I wanted service in the room. Took a shower in the morning, but hot water was scarce. The water pressure was the weakest I have ever experienced at a North American hotel. The little hot water I got lasted for an entire 3 minutes before ice-cold water came tumbling down. Breakfast is a sad sight. The restaurant is empty and the food was not fresh, and the waitress was slow. Surprising, since I was the only client at the time. Overall experience, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it. It was expensive for the service I got. I suspect that the Sheraton (down the street) is much better.

“Don't stay here”

Other than the business center fiasco, we only stayed one night (thankfully). We went down to the dining room for dinner, and, as there were no staff to greet us, we sat at a booth. The gentlman that came by to help us didn't actually work there, but was helping with the banquet that was going on. He was friendly and helpful, but when he tried to flag down one of the staff to take out order, she abruptly raised her hand to her face and announced "I'm too busy!", literally without slowing her pace to the kitchen. It was rude and humiliating to the banquet server, and right in front of us. When we finally received some attention from this gem of the food industry, she was as far from professional ascan be, though strangely not at all out of place in a hotel where seemingly nothing is being managed. We hightailed it to our room for the night, which was moderate at best. The other thing worth mentioning is the girl at the front desk in the morning (8am Sunday morning), was nice enough to give me attitude when I asked for a late checkout. I would think in a place this dreadful, that they would encourage guests to stick around under the guise of a business, but apparently not. Overall, avoid this place if you can.

“Not Satisfied”

To whom this may concern, My girlfriend and I are very disappointed with our stay, as we first arrived our washroom was very dirty, It seemed like housekeeping did not sanitize our washroom. The toilet had hair and urine on the seat along with water streaks all over the shower wall. When we went to have a nap upon arrival housekeeping walked in which makes me think the washroom in our room was completely overlooked. After housekeeping waking us up we had to get ready for our dinner party which then we went for the shower and there was no running water due to a busted water pipe. I understand this is an uncontrollable problem, however is still an issue that is not one of the guests.
