Was in town for work, but brought my family along. Family friendly place with good facilities. Staff was very accommodating. Nice pool/hot tub/gym area.

I stayed overnight for workPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Very modernized decor. Green is a good accent colour for hotels.
Cons: The room service menu was a bit uninspired, and the entree of the day details weren't included in the room menu.
Location: I didn't really venture far away from the hotel, as it was only for one night and less than 12 hours.
I stayed at this hotel overnight for work. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly, the facilities were clean and modern, and the room was quiet and comfortable.

Lost reservationPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: The wait staff at the hotel
I booked 3 nights at the hotel because we were in the city for my daughter's hockey tournament from Feb.6-9, 2014. I booked this reservation through Expedia on Dec.30, 2013. When I arrived, my reservation was not in their system. Luckily I had 2 email confirmations from Expedia. The first staff person that waited on me told me that she did not have any rooms for me, but she could recommend another hotel in the area. She then told me that she could book me a reservation with the hotel, but I would have to pay more money. I had already paid Expedia $439.00, and I told her I would not pay her another nickel, and someone better solve the problem. I waited 1.5 hours before I was given a room. They told me that this was Expedia's mistake, not theirs. The only positive experience about my stay was that I received complimentary breakfast from the hotel because they knew I was not happy. The table staff at the restaurant were friendly. I am sorry, but I will not stay at this hotel again, nor will I book any stay or trip through Expedia ever again.

Accessible room is accessiblePosted Jan 10, 2014
Cons: If room is being allocated and hasn't been in a while, staff should make sure the heat is turned on before people arrive. We arrived and room was cold
Location: a variety of restaurants are within walkable distance - shopping and other restaurants are close by.
I stayed in the accessible room, and it was very nice. The washroom was large and has a wheel in shower, and a fold down shower bench. There are no grab bars next to the toilet which could be an issue for some people, but there is lots of manouevring space in the washroom. The bed is also a little high, but is very comfortable. A place that I would recommend and go back to.

The staff was really helpful. Very nice stay!Posted Dec 12, 2013
Pros: Location, whirlpool
Cons: 1-800 staff
Location: Lots of restaurants in walking distance
The only problem was calling the 1-800 number... Very rude & pushy for a booking. I was coming into town for a family funeral, asked all the questions (told them WHY I needed a room) and said I had to contact the rest of the family (scattered around Canada) to see if this hotel etc was okay with them; the agent started demanding I book NOW "we're not going to have rooms if you call back" etc etc. I eventually hung up on his rant!!!!! I ended up doing the booking online, once at the hotel the staff were great.

RestaurantPosted Dec 6, 2013
Pros: The staff was very nice, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Our stay was very nice. Just a concern about the restaurant. Not prepared for a large crowd even with a reservation, took over an hour even to get a drink.. And our breakfast was very expensive and the buffet food was cold.

Not badPosted Nov 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
My stay at the Holiday Inn and Burlington was alright. Normal hotel.. Clean.. Friendly staff. I was kind of annoyed at the noise level. I don't know if there was some kind of tournament in the area but there were kids running around everywhere. Did I mention the screaming? Definitely affected my sleep. My trip was cut short otherwise I definitely would have addressed the issue with staff.
