“Fair Value.”

The hotel is a 2+ star hotel. Only stayed there for 1 night passing through. I booked 2 rooms. Both the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The price paid was fair for what was recieved. Would recommend this hotel for those on business or for those needing a reasonable place to stay while in the area. Access to major highway was good.

“Nothing to rave about”

The hotel was OK. The room has seen better days. It was an inexpensive place to stay.

“Nice Hotel”

This is an older hotel that has seen better days. It is well located. It has a nice restaurant and is next door to two excellent fast food places: Wendies and Tim Hortons. The price was excellent and I would not hesitate recommending this hotel especially for those with young families.

“Freezing cold room, smoke filled hallways!”

The hotel was older but was clean enough. The hallway to our room smelled of cigarette smoke, it was disgusting. There was no elevator so we had to carry our suitcases to the third floor. The room was freezing cold the heat was off, in December. We booked well in advance so they were expecting us and it would have been nice if they turned on the heat in our room. When I advised them of the smoke filled hallway they said that the rooms above ours were smoking rooms but it was awful. They simply said "oh sorry" when we complained about the heat not being on prior to our arrival. They also have breakfast listed in their room service menu, but they don't have this either. They said it was an old menu and they don't have breakfast anymore. Disappointing stay!

“Didn't see one Cockroach!!”

We recently stayed for a hockey tournament and the people we feel sorry for the most are the staff that work there, they are underequipped in the restaurant where meals were undercooked and late of upwards of 1 1/2 hours,obviously due to poor management of resources, and the service maids were graceful even thought they worked with broken vaccuums and equipment. Many of our rooms had broken heaters, our electirical circuit blew when they plugged in the portable heater, our toilet was clogged as well as one down the hall overflowed all the way into the hallway, the "newly" renovated description was definately applied to the wrong hotel as the "renovations" must have been done by "Canada's Worst Handyman", the pool area is covered in tiles and the slippery-ness of the floor is a quadripuligec insurance nightmare waiting to happen, the workout room is a room consists of 3 very unmodern pieces of equipment and no rooms were available for a team party so kids were forced to play in the hallways disrupting other guests. The running joke was regarding the previous cockroach review that many of us were worried about, luckily for us we didn't see any, even the coackroaches don't want to stay here!!! Sorry, hate to write a bad review, but believe that unsuspecting travellers should know what they are getting into, rather than what they are lead to believe, before they spend their hard earned money!

“not a great deal”

The shower did not work properly Area around the pool was very dirty because guys doing upgrade in public washrooms were walking around in the pool area with their boots on. Very few pool towels available. For the price, it certainly was not worth the money.

“Not impressed”

The hotel is dated, not overly clean, smelled in the hallways, the free continental breakfast was poorly laid out, very little selection, no tablecloths on the bare, dirty tables. The one thing my girls enjoyed was the pool that they said was very warm and they were the only ones who used it the whole weekend. Would definitely look closer at other hotels in the future if we need to stay overnight in Brantford.
