NicePosted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The staff.....the ease of everything.....the concierge informed us in detail of all our island options.
Cons: I would like to suggest...but, the hotel was excellent on its own.
Location: The pool...the beach...St Georges,,,,ahh Bermuda.
The hotel is minutes from the airport and on the bus line and very close to St Georges. The staff actually hugged us good-bye. They couldn't be nicer. The beach is well maintained...perfect. Rooms were clean, well appointed.

Liked the all inclusive optionPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: We liked that it was close to the airport, didn't have a long or expensive taxi ride. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: A lot of the umbrellas available for guest use were broken. Had to improvise or try to get chairs under a palm tree.
Location: Lots of things, but we didn't leave the resort.
Bermuda was always a vacation spot on our list. Our 30th wedding anniversary was the perfect opportunity to make the trip a reality. We loved that it is a direct 2 1/2 hour flight out of Philadelphia, since we only had 4 days allotted, and we did not want to spend 2 full days traveling to and from. The all inclusive option is great since things are quite expensive in Bermuda. The down side to the all inclusive option was we didn't really want to go outside the resort since we already had paid for food, drinks, water sports etc. If we would have had another day, we definitely would have used the bus/ferry passes to check out points of interest on the island. Beautiful weather every day! So glad we went - we hope to go back in the future!

No need to leave property!Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Short flight from boston followed by 5 min taxi and onto beach. Proximity to airport is not an issue! No noise.
Cons: Personally would like to hear music from island at pool vs typical USA pop.
Location: Ice cream shop and Swizzle Inn a short walk and we'll worth it. But personally like to stay on the property.
Third visit. Clean good sized rooms. Good food esp Fri night BBQ (do not miss). Good size pool ,small beach but not too crowded. Crystal clear, warm water with no waves. Quiet and very relaxing spot.

Lovely hotel in great locationPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Beach, snorkeling, courteous & helpful staff
Cons: Room facilities limited for a long stay. Wi-Fi access very variable
Spent 8 days at Grotto Bay with 2 teenage daughters and was delighted with hotel facilities and especially location for access to the great beach and for transport around the island. Excellent for families or for couples looking to relax in the sun.

Dated, unfriendly staff, opened the balcony doors to the lovely smell of sewage, and the air conditioning was louder than 97 Civic without a muffler. Other than that it was wonderful.

Convenient, beautiful beach, great staffPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: view from everywhere
stayed for a long weekend with my adult children. it is close to the airport, but a ways from other sights. having said that, we enjoyed the resort and did not feel the need to tour much. the all inclusive plan includes bus passes if needed, so I was bale to get easily to St. George.
