Soon as I arrived , I was told in a rude tone that there is no parking available and I have to leave my car outside . Dinner was good the first night but was catastrophic the second night . Also receptionist was rude and was trying to charge me 50 dt extra . The pools closes at 6 pm , and you have to pay extra 50 dt to use the main pool . We asked for towels 7 times and finally we got them 24 hours later . At the restaurant you have to pay for water at the dinner time they do not have any type of water. We will not come back

Maybe the parking was full upon your arrival but we can tell you that in a good tone. Actually the access to the Pool House Lounge is not for free, and cost 50 Dinars per person will be reduced from the your bill (Food, drinks etc..) and not for free :) Swimming pools closed at 6 pm while the life guard men finish his shift at 6pm. You booked Half Board pension means breakfeast and Dinner only without drinks and only All in soft has drinks included. We thank you in advance for your understanding

It was a good hotel. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The food was good. The location is good. Sound proofing the rooms would help since they have music entertain emend everything night and it lasts until 3.00 am. They need to help their reception staff with proper updating software programs. The lack of such programs caused us hours of anguish at the checkin time and caused their staff at the reception to deny our reservation made about four months earlier. Thanks to he people at the reception we were able to get our reservation problem resolved.

Hour-and-a-half late check-in. Dirty, old, dingy room. Music pounding till 5 AM from nightclub. Awful restaurant service. After spending two days with our heads pounding, we wanted to be refunded our final three days and leave. As the director spoke to my husband, I was in our hotel room, contacting Hotels.com to see if they could work out a refund. While there, two of the staff used a key card to get in our room. No knocking, just opened the door to come in. When they saw me there, they apologized and left. I have no idea what they were entering our room for, but that scenario scared my mother-in-law and grandma so much that they didn’t want to stay alone that night, so we ended up staying overnight in their room for security. In the end, the director offered compensation of a massage and hammam, but at this point, we were over it. We couldn’t even look at their faces. Service was just dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. One positive note: the bellhop was the only smile we received from service staff. He should get a raise. Hotels.com tried to resolve the issue with the hotel, but we weren’t given a refund. Hotels.com was professional and helpful, offering us coupons to put toward another hotel stay, which we did. Thanks to that, our trip wasn’t entirely ruined. The pictures on this site show a hotel that doesn’t exist. This is not a beachside hotel, so I’m not sure why there are photos of beaches here.

Awful - staff couldn't care less about your stay
I hate writing bad reviews, but hotel management at Diar LeMedina preferred a bad review to refunding our last three nights, so here goes… We waited an hour-and-a-half past check-in for our room with no explanation. No one came to inform us of anything; we had to keep approaching reception to ask. Dinner was awful. The dining hall was cramped, crowded, dirty. You have to wait in long lines to get anything. You can barely move through the room. It was more of the same. The first night, we were treated to all night partying from the nightclub right outside our room. We thought it would end at 2 AM. 3 AM rolled around, 4 AM no sleep. 5 AM we got dressed to go to reception, because the phone wasn’t working in our room (probably because they get so many complaints from the all-night pounding, which was literally shaking the desk and walls), but once we got outside, the club finally closed. The final straw happened the next night at the restaurant. We brought in bottled water, because one of our party has a medical condition requiring low calcium water. The restaurant staff refused to allow it. I know that sounds ridiculous, and it is. My husband remained calm explaining the situation, but they went so far as to remove our glasses from our table, so we couldn’t use them. Hotels.com tried to resolve the issue, but the hotel refused to refund us. Hotels.com was professional and helpful, offering coupons to put toward another hotel stay.

Great Family Resort
Our stay was for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner included (half board). The room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The room also had a full kitchen but the only dish provided was a pasta strainer. We did not use the kitchen so this was not an issue during our stay. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, and offered games for us to play at the pool. The restaurant for half board meals provided lots of choices for both breakfast and dinner including European continental and Tunisian dishes.

Historical and cultural visit
Two of us staying. Nice quiet apartment with kitchen. Staff in all areas could not be more friendly or helpful.Excellent. Food on half board was good and plentiful. Heaps to visit and see. Primarily a resort hotel, excellent for families, particularly with children. If you want quiet you need to select your room when booking. Cannot fault the staff or facilities.

We were here for a conference. When we arrived they told us our reservation was not correct. Finally after I showed them the printed expedia they finally gave us the two rooms we had reserved.the whole operation took almost one hour. Once we asked for an ice bucket. The answer was go bring it from the bar. Overall a part from these two incidents the rest was ok. The staff is nice. The rooms conditions are just acceptable.

Never Stay at this hotel again
On arrival at the Hotel myself and my colleague were told that they were fully booked and only had one room, even though we had booked through Expedia. Eventually out of thin air they produced our rooms. When I entered my room at 02:40 a.m. I had a nasty surprise as I was greeted by three cockroaches which as you can imagine is not pleasant at all, so by the time I disposed of them and checked every it was 03:30 a.m. To add to this, mine and my colleagues rooms were next to the courtyard which had very loud music and people which didn't end until gone 03:00 a.m. and then when this ended the disco carried on well after 04:30 a.m.

Good family friendly hotel
Just got back from a lovely stay at diar lemdina hotel. We had the family room which was actually an apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one being en suite) kitchen and a large living room leading to the balcony. The rooms were very spacious and clean and were cleaned everyday by the maid. We were half board so had breakfast and dinner at the hotel everyday, the food was good as they had a large variety which was changed everyday. The best part of the hotel was the entertainment and animation team, my kids loved the mini disco every evening with max, wael and lama who were very friendly and made sure the kids were having a good time. Also the mini club was great too and a special thanks goes to tata who took great care of the kids. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for families with kids. This hotel is located in the centre of the medina where shops and restaurants are very nearby.

Hotel in process of major renovation. The rooms are spacious and the facilities ample. The location is ideal and central to everything. The beach is a short walk away. The restaurant provides top class food and the chefs and waiting staff are brilliant. Nice bar and the waiters and bar man are friendly and provide excellent service. I cannot fault this hotel, from the security staff, cleaners, reception, waiters and chefs, all greet with smiles and excellent service. 5 star quality.

Great Conference Venue; Ideal for Groups/Families
We were three physician-educators from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine who stayed at the Lemdina for the World Summit on Social Accountability 2017. Being relatively experienced travelers we weren't really expecting much from the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised at how great the accommodations were relative to the price that we were given for them. The room (or more accurately, house/apartment) was definitely more than what we required in terms of size, facilities and comfort. We were 2 males and 1 female so our female colleague got the "master's bedroom" with its own bathroom while us males were more than happy to share the other bedroom (with two double beds) and the "common bathroom". The small kitchen was adequate and the living room (with its TV) was spacious and comfortable. All in all, our 5 day stay was made all the more memorable and fun by having the accommodations that we had in the Lemdina (we stayed in room 1210). Given that the hotel is also conveniently located within Hammamet's Medina, all the sights, stores and restaurants were easily and conveniently accessible to us. I would also like to commend the hotel staff, from the reception to housekeeping who were efficient, effective and great at their jobs.

A little piece of heaven
I was on holiday with my grown up daughter. This was our 5th stay at the hotel, and almost as soon as I walked through the front door, I remembered why I keep going back. Our apartment was amazing, we had a large Lou Gehrig with kitchenette off & a bathroom downstairs, upstairs we had 2 bedrooms (one en-suite) & a further bathroom, so more than enough space. We also had 2 balconies (one upstairs, and one downstairs). The staff were extremely friendly & welcoming as always, food was excellent & the rooms nice & clean. The drinks included in the all inclusive deal were fantastic. Nothing else to say really, except thar this is one exceptional hotel that treats its guests very well, love it & can't wait to go back.

Outstanding holiday @ Diar Lemdina Hotel, Hammamet
My wife and I and our 3 children just arrived back from a fantastic 7 nights break in Diar Lemdina Hammamet. It was our second time to stay in this hotel. We first stayed there in April 2013. I really can't recommend Diar Lemdina Hotel strongly enough. Our second stay was even better than our first which we thoroughly enjoyed too. The staff members were outstanding in the way they made us feel welcome and in the way they served us and looked after us and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. A big thank you to every single staff member without exception and especially to those who work at the reception. Our on-suit was so spacious and clean. In fact it was a big flat:2 big bedrooms, a living room, a corridor, a kitchen and two bathrooms. The food was great each meal. The hotel is well located: close to the beach (5 minutes walk) close to the shops and to the other entertainment facilities for kids (especially Carthage land funfair and the indoor soft play area, Ali baba). I would recommend all-inclusive booking especially if you have kids as it will give you free access to Cartage Land and Ali baba centre and other benefits too. Moreover, we felt so safe with all the security systems that have been recently put in place and with many security guards in the whole area. We can't wait to go there next year. Excellent Hotel. Just one tip: if you want to enjoy the funfair with your kids try to avoid going there on Saturdays and Sundays because the queues are so long.

Hotel was ok, Reception needs to be more organised. All inclusive was a wast of time as the food was the same every day and the local wine they allow you to have is shocking as so is the beer. So ended up paying for wine I liked witch was Tunisian and local but was not on the all inclusive menu. And after 3 nights of the buffet ended up eating out every night. I recommend bella Marina restaurant probably the best restaurant I have used in Tunisia so far. I chose this hotel because of the reviews on trip adviser, now either the hotel is cutting costs or the people writing the reviews have lived very sheltered life's. Was very dissatisfied after such great reviews .

Typical Medina (Tunisian ancient city) Hotel
I am a Tunisian leaving abroad. I have spent 4 magnificent nights with my small family (wife and 2 kids) at Medina Hotel Hammamet. at first I was surprised the room was too far from the main hotel lobby and to be franc, I was not happy. However, we later understood (the reception supervisor took the time to explain) that the hotel concept is different from a conventional hotel in the sense that it is a whole typical Mediterranean city (Medina style or Greek style for those familiar with Greece.) A lots of shopping around, amusement parks for families, clean private beach (at a distance of 100m). the hotel supervisor upgraded our room and it was a pleasant welcome surprise giving us the ambassador suite instead of the junior I had reserved. Good security and cleanliness though i wish they can improve on the room service (every day cleaning). the staff is caring and the animation is remarkable. overall, it was a peasant stay.

Needs improving
The treatment upon arrival seems to be great. You're greeted with a smile and a drink and a hotel staff to talk you through everything. Unfortunately their English is not great and was very hard to understand and I did not want to be rude and so something. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice of them even though I insisted that I was fine sticking to the standard room they upgraded me anyway. The suite was very out dated which makes me wonder what the standard room was like. There were loads of damaged areas which we weren't fussed about but I would not agree that this was a 4 star hotel. The pool was tiny and the food was very boring and un imaginative. I also asked for mosquito repellant gor the room at the reception after being bitten a few times which the staff had no idea what I was talking about and finally said the house keeping will sort it which they never did. They is no room service and the TV only had 1 English channel. I remember Wath a movie channel for a few days but it disappeared so asked the reception about it but thy had no idea when I explained it to them.

I had a great time at Diar Lemdina. The staff was super nice and the animation team were very entertaining. Definitely a place I would go to again!

Dated and dirty. Continuous smell of sewage around the pool area and the restaurant. The restaurant is in the basement next to the parking lot and it smells. The food is bad but not nearly as dreadful as the staff, who are simply rude, unhelpful and hostile. The only exception are the animation team, who are the only people in the hotel who genuinly seem to enjoy their job. Stay away from this place at all cost. It will save you a lot of disappointment.

While the lobby was ok my room was well away from the hotel and was worn with a rattling air conditioner which barely cooled the room to a tolerable level. They did serve alcohol in Ramadan which was greatly welcomed.

Family holiday we all loved!!
Just back from a week at hotel with husband, kids(aged7 and 10) and grandparents. We stayed in family room, which was fabulous! Contained large double and twin bedrooms, large lounge area, fantastic balcony complete with table and chairs, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen and dining area and tiled outdoor area at rear!! We were thrilled with size and cleanliness. Staff very accommodating, polite and friendly. Pools great with lots of activities throughout day for children and adults. Loved indoor pool, which was warm and quiet for some proper swimming. Breakfast buffets were extensive if not really healthy - but oh well on hols!! Kids(and adults) loved freshly made pancakes, doughnuts and omelettes, and always loads of freshly baked bread, preserves, salads and various savoury dishes. On vast complex that included 'medina'(~market), bars and restaurants, aswell as hammam, theme park, cinema and aquapark. Access to private beach just a short walk to front. Music around pool could be a little loud and annoying, if over-looking pool area. Wished we could have stayed longer as so relaxing and much more to see and do. Will definitely be back!!

Best Family Time Spent!!
Exceptional Hotel with great Characters. High standard of service unknown anywhere else stayed in Europe. Nabil,Bouteyne,Freddy, Marwan, Muhamad to name but a few, who made our trip memorable. They are natural people who put up great entertainment & personal courtesy way beyond the norm. Facilities very good. Location excellent. Don't worry about the market traders, they are trying to make money. Which country or civilisation not doing the same at the moment. Beautiful place, warm people despite political predicament, fantastic time. Go to my full review at Trip Advisor. I would recommend this hotel, you will not regret staying there I am sure!!

Hotel location is pretty nice, nice design. Noises, screaming, and loud arguments are heard from inside the room around the clock 24hrs no exception. It is hard to rest during day or night. Customer services are very slow and need several phone calls before reacting to your request. I requested room services since 10 am and they end up cleaning the room and fixing the bed at 5 pm and with three phone calls requests. Food service is average. Communication in English is difficult.
