“Off season”
The hotel was almost empty - presumably December is a quiet time. I was there for work rather than leisure so I didn't have a lot of interaction with the hotel and its facilities but everything worked satisfactorily. The environment and staff were pleasant and - at least at that time of year - it represented very good value. The location is not very interesting; fine for those just relaxing but at some distance from anything which could be labelled as an 'attraction'. I didn't reach the local beach but I believe it is fairly close. Central Hammamet is a few miles distant. There are a number of shops and restaurants locally more geared to local rather than tourist trade.
“Fine - but certainly not 4 star”
The hotel is adequate, but don't expect to be pampered in luxury surroundings. If you are looking for a peaceful get-away, this isn't the place; music - mind-numbing background piano music or blaring 90s pop music - constantly playing.
“If you don't go for the food its great”
The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Its a shame that fully inclusive isn't just that, if you want a good cup of coffee you have to pay, (I take some sachets with me) don't expect vodka, spirits to be free and in honesty the food is rubbish, except for the Oranges which are out of this world. I didn't starve though. It was a cheap holiday and as they say you get what you pay for. I return because of the staff that make me so welcome.
“Affordable and Unforgetable”
Hotel is about 1 hour away from Tunis Carthage Airport. It costs about 65 US dollars to get to hotel. Hotel is located in a small town, not necessarily in Hammamet. Quiet, secluded and safe. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. You get bathrobes and slippers during your stay. Every evening a maid places lovely fresh cut flowers on your pillow. We opted for the all inclusive and very much worth it as you did not have to leave resort on days you choose to make it a poolside or beach day. The staff were extremely attentive and did an excellent job of making you feel at home. The owner was on the premises as well,so if you had any concerns you could approach him in person. The hotel is not beach front. You would need to walk a few blocks and the hotel has its own private area on the beach. At night Yasmine Hammamet is a great place to hang out and it only costs about 3.00 by taxi to get there. This is where you find other resorts, cafes, souvenir shops etc. The food was good. We were actually pleasantly surprised considering the bad reviews we had read The highlight of the trip to Tunisia and we feel everyone should do this; was the Sahara Desert trip .Out of this world. We highly recommend this hotel for its affordability, and the use the rest of your money to discover this amazing country.
“Smoky stomach upset”
We went knowing Tunisia so expecting African standards. The location of this hotel is not near either Hammamet Centre or Yasmin (the new resort) and is surrounded by slow development and fairly poor amentities. The hotel itself is well built and clean. The pools are great. However unless you want mindless Butlinsesque Euro pop "entertainment" in the hotel, it's not a good destination for adults or couples. The foos for the all inclusive is repetetive (pretty much all the same) and very por quality. Wind inducing if not stomach upsetting. Don't expect chewable meat. And people smoke everywhere including all ovaer and around you whiule you try to eat. We won't be returning
