“Inexpensive and convenient”

You couldn't find a more helpful host or a better breakfast for this kind of price. The house was undergoing improvements but that didn't detract from a pleasant 3 night stay in a location that was convenient for all the places we'd planned to visit (including the IoW ferry)

“Reasonably priced and basic in comforts”

B&B with basic English breakfast. It is situated approximatelly 20 min from the town centre in a residential area. Rooms are OK, but the en suit was pretty small and overall the hotel is in a need of refurbishment. The TV in our room had snowy picture.

“It's o.k.”

I thought this place was a bit overpriced for what it was but then again, most places in Southampton seemed to be pretty expensive. If you do stay here don't expect too much...it's more like an upmarket backpackers than a B&B. And make sure you skip the breakfast, it made us feel ill. If you get a really good deal then stay here but otherwise I'd look for somewhere else.

“disgusting an experience not to be repeated.”

The hotel was manned by a man who was reasonably pleasant, but the room needed to be cleaned along with the bathroom. The bed had a mattress which was going in one direction and the base in one direction. The bedding and towels were a mix and match of colours and everything smelt of some unexplainable pong. There was an unbearable odour in the room from the first time I stepped into it, it needed airing and thoroughly cleaning. I could not change the hotel as I arrived at seven in the evening and needed to be up early. I slept very badly and was totally worn out in the morning and had a busy day ahead. Needless to say I was very unhappy and will not be using the site again or the hotel and felt that my money was wasted.
