“Excellent hotel and perfect location for exploring the New Forest.”

The Crown is full of character and an excellent location for visiting the New Forest. Very warm welcome from staff. Very comfortable room with view of the church. Some traffic noise but not a problem, it's a shame that Lyndhurst is so congested. Will definately return - for longer.

“Great location, fantastice night porter but expensive”

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and the hotel is in a fantastic location at the top of Lyndhurst High Street, so you can get around with out your car and they have a great big car park to leave it in at the back. It is a lovely and querky tudor building but the decor is quite dated. We had a room at the back so we were hoping for a lye in but that was not to be as we were woken at 6am by someone walking in and out of the room above ours it was like living under thupmer and this continued all morning, so much for the lye in but guess thats part of the charm? Having said that the staff were really friendly and the night porter was excellent I have never experiance one so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely weekend but feel that it was very over priced for what it was.

Room very tired and shabby, only able to open one tiny window a fraction on one of the hottest days of the year with a warning to shut the window as pidgeons fly in! Bed walls and carpet badly stained.
