Nice enough, but don't count on the free car park.

Good standard mid sized traditional hotel. The only downside is parking - arriving around 7:30 pm there was no chance of a space and navigation around the carpark is very tight. It took 15 minutes to get in and out, a further 5 to find a space on the street and another 5 to walk back to the hotel.

Would definitely stay here again

Pros: Value for money
Cons: Shower pump was a bit on the blink
Location: Great location on the seafront
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel, given the price (£65 for a double on Saturday night). The staff were friendly, the room was an excellent size and everything was in good order. The bathroom was large and clean. Given there were a number of functions going on when I was there, I was also impressed that the staff managed to keep on top of everything and there were no long queues e.g. at reception.

Pros: restaurant and friendly staff
Cons: appearance of the outside
Location: very well located on the sea front with lovely views
I stayed at this hotel for only 1 night from the outside looked a bit tired but I have to say the staff were very efficient and friendly, rooms looked as if they had been recently refurbished very comfortable clean and cosy. The restaurant was excellent service and standard of food fab

Wonderful!

Pros: Kind, friendly staff who couldn't do enough.
Cons: Hard pillows
Location: Sea front opposite the pier, with beautiful views.
We recently stayed at the Royal Beach on a Secret Saver deal so were absolutely overjoyed with this hotel. When we arrived a twin had been booked rather than a double - there was no problem, and the staff happily changed us to a double room with a sea view with no extra charge. The room was lovely - big and light - but the bathroom could do with updating. Adequate and very clean but not of the same quality as the rest of the hotel. The pillows were quite hard - perhaps take one of your own. Breakfast was fantastic - a vast selection even in the middle of the week. The staff were all wonderful, very polite and couldn't do enough for you. We had a brilliant night here, and would definitely return.

Pros: Character of the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast in a stylish room.
Cons: Cost of food in bar was expensive.Had a jacket potato (microwaved) chicken+bacon/ lettuce/tomatoe cost approx £7 Bar was a little shabbily decorated..
Location: Southsea. The Royal Beach Hotel.
Thoroughly enjoyed stay. My room was large, reburbished and very comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant and helpful as were the reception staff.
