Felt unsafe . The door back door in the room didn’t even lock or shut properly . Anyone could have just walked in during the night . Had my child with me . So sleepness night .

There was a leak on the staircase directly to my room. Which wet the fire alarm of. I had to squeesze past the door and a bin colecting the leak water The room wasnt very clean. The bedding had stains on The shower spratwd everywhere. Disappointed to say the least.

I moved room 3 times due to 1- no tv signal, 2- missing tv remote and then finally into a room with a tv that worked and a remote. The beds used lamp is faulty and I told reception on checkout. I have to say your man on duty at reception was very u sweats ding and helpful. I am coming back again tonight

We booked a room with a double bed. But the bed turned out better out to be two single beds pushed together. The mattresses both sat at different levels, causing a ridge in the middle. This made for a very uncomfortable night. As result my partner woke up the next day in pain with a bad back were she had been sleeping across the centre ridge. We informed the reception staff of our experience and was told the complaint would be looked into, but haven’t heard anything back.

Country house style hotel.
Charming country house style hotel.Stayed in the main mansion with garden views.An Indian restaurant and a bar with bar food.There was a vey large boisterous group in the restaurant so I ate in the bar,limited menu but friendly service.Friendly front desk personnel. Easy access and parking. Period style interiors,well presented.

Glorious!
This was the most beautiful setting and the hotel offered a very high level of comfort and tranquility. The Canal View restaurant where we had breakfast was very attractive, cosy and intimate, which was impressive given the size of the hotel. My bedroom in the Grange was very spacious, comfortable, quiet and warm. It was helpful being able to park right outside.

Great value for money
Much better than expected. The rooms were a little bit dated but clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in the Grange bit which was a 5 minute walk from the main house which if it was raining could be a bit of a pain. Luckiky for us it was dry. We ate in the Canal view restaurant which was fine dining Indian cuisine and excellent. They had 2 large Christmas parties in the hotel that night to manage but they gave us excellent service too. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent- continental and cooked. Overall excellent service, friendly staff and great value for money.

Great site, comfortable stay
A great site, friendly staff and good accommodation matched to the price. Would recommend this for a stay, pending what you are after or expectations, the site and setting is the main bonus though really.

Had to ask to change room on check in as not what we had booked. Room was tired, TV didn’t work. No one on the bar serving on arrival, had to shout through to kitchen to get someone. Breakfast service was awful with coffee machine persistently running out of water, cooked food running low and a lack of any senior staff to effect change. Will not be returning

The Gentleman who was on duty the time we checked in needs a big promotion. Splendid service, belpful, polite, considerate and very humble. We were late to check in, but when we phoned him, he waited for us, we had a child, 9 years . We were treated like vip.

Cheap and cheerful, nice clean and crispy comfy beds. The room could do with a few improvements, gaps around plug sockets and a brown stained toilet where the water sits. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay but we had to sit in the hallway as no tables available.

Wouldn’t return
Wouldn’t go back here. Rooms are cold, smell of damp and mould. Not the cleanest either. The bed was pushed up against the wall? Never known of a hotel doing that. So made it awkward for a couple. Breakfast was ok but no option other than full English. Appreciate it’s a wedding venue and that’s what they do however I would be embarrassed if my guests had to stay in the room I was in.

Perfect hotel, perfect wedding.
We went as a family to a good friends wedding. After reading some of the reviews we were a little nervous. Shouldn't have been, everything was superb. The extra bed was missing for our daughter, a quick call to reception, within 10 mins, Claire from house keeping arrived and with little fuss the extra bed was positioned and made. The breakfast on both mornings was delightful, with a wide range for all tastes. We will be going back as the afternoon tea looked great.
