Pros: Near to motor way , near to town
Cons: The put u up beds are not very comfortable
Location: You get free swimming at local pool , we all so went to southsea for the day,
We requested a disabled room and we got one ,nothing was to much trouble ,very friendly staff especially in the breakfast room .

Cool RoomPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Really good, the room had air-con as standard, essential in the current heatwave. Lots of clean towels, large spacious, clean, room & bathroom. Not the best location, near the M3 motorway, but the rooms were sound-proofed enough not to hear it. Excellent for the price.

Very friendly staff and excellent service. Rooms are clean and spacious. But shower needs to upgraded a power showers. Other than that the location etc is excellent. 5 min drive to town centre shopping malls etc.

Comfortable, Easy StayPosted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We we staying for 1 night in Basingstoke and chose the Holiday Inn due to the proximity to the motorway and the price. We didn't want to stay at a service station and so opted for the next nearest, affordable option. Check in was really easy and the staff were polite. We were on the second floor at the end of the building (243) and it was peaceful. The only noise was from the door next door and opposite, otherwise it was totally quiet. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. We watched a bit of TV although we felt that removing certain channels such as Film4 so that the hotel could charge £7.50 to watch a film was a little extortionate! we did enjoy watching Sky 1, which we don't have at home. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that, but overall we had a great stay!

Not your average Holiday InnPosted Jun 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
In fact, this is a large conference centre tucked away among the leafy glades of a new town. The room and excellent breakfast are a real bargain for weekend stays. But make sure that you set your Sat Nav to the name of the Hotel rather than the postcode or the Street Name as the building is very low set and can be hidden by the trees when they are in full leaf!

rude reception staffPosted Dec 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel, but reception staff were rude, they look down on you and made you feel like you shouldn't of been there, maybe because I'm in customer services I expect more but honestly the worst hotel I've come across.
