“Good work people”

Excellent Hotel in great position, ideal base for exploring Pompey.

“Better than expected.”

There's been some lukewarm posting about this hotel, but we were happy. The room was clean and bright, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were hardly warm and chatty, but were very helpful (taking our bag before 2pm check-in and getting us discount tickets for the Tower). Overall, I would definitely stay again.

“A great hotel in a great central position.”

The room was spacious (contrary to some reviews where they say they are small) I found the room and bathroom were to be very clean and the bed was comfortable, the pillows were great. There was not a sound anywhere near us overnight which made for a sleepful night. The breakfast was ok, the cereals and fruit were good as was the toast. The sausages, beans and scrambled egg were ok, could have been better but eatable. The hotel is in the middle of the action on Gunshwarf Keys so could not be in a better position. Overall I would defiantely stay here again, and would recommend it. I had been recommended the hotel by a friend. Yes its more expensive than some but it is better to be in the middle of everything rather than have to be in a not so desirable area and have to walk a long way to anything. The parking is free if you stay less than 24hrs - just take your parking ticket to reception and they will validate it for you. A great hotel :)

“Ideal hotel for seeing the historic sights”

The hotel is in an ideal location with many interesting features to see within a short walking distance and surprisingly quiet .The room was very clean and comfortable. So was the bed and we particularly liked the lightweight duvet (We had stayed at the Oxford Holiday Inn the previous month and found the duvet there too thick and heavy but apparently this was the only weight available) We also liked a window that could be opened. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. Our only complaint is that bacon is not on the breakfast menu!

“Comfortable Hotel”

This hotel was very well situated in the centre of Gunwharf Quays, also very clean and quiet. Good Choice.

Friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is well up tom its 3 star rating. Breakfast was very good and included in th very reasonable price.

“Average Hotel”

Location: Excellent Breakfast: Rubish. Old re-heated sausages and scrambled egg. Nowhere near to satisfactory. We had a nice cup of tea in the room when we got there but then found there wasn't any tea left for the morning. This is really tight for an expensive hotel. The room was very small but clean.

“Needs a lift !!!”

Great Hotel and excellent staff but for all 3 days we were there, the 2 lifts were out of action! With our age group ranging from 3 to 70 plus it was a real burden taking the edge off what was a happy celebration. Especially as Reception was on the 1st floor and our rooms on the 3rd. There was a service lift but the wait and hassle weren'y worth it!

“Not impressed”

- Little difficult to find - parking - UG shared parking with large shopping centre - location of hotel not readily noticable. - cracked washbasin - expected more at price charged.

“Not impressed and expensive for what it provided”

Expedia should state that this hotel does not provide a bath in any of it's rooms. It is not really a hotel but rather a place to sleep.
