They charged for the swimming pool and gym which was not declared while booking. The room had quite a hot radiator next to the bed and the valve did not work to cool it down.

2nd time being there after 8 years and it hasn't changed, very dated. Some doors and windows are dirty. Grass area outside of room window was overgrown with broken slabs thrown on the grass. TV in first room didn't work, tap in shower didn't work properly.

When you get there, they tell you the swimming pool has limited access and you have to pay £5 extra per person to use. The rooms are old with carpet coming up. Course views are actually of the car park. Nothing in the bathroom other than a very small bar of soap. You’d be better staying at a premier inn as the food isn’t a nice but very expensive!!!

I hate giving poor reviews but this was disappointing and seemed poor value for money. Shabby, dated and poorly maintained. Inattentive service and understaffed. Did not really offer “country club” promise. Two night stay and no housekeeping or explanation offered. Breakfast was a sad truck stop experience. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Good value for money but you have to pay £5 per person to use the gym and swimming pool. Swimming pool was heaving with people. Bar area good but some unsavoury people staying. Lots of dogs!

The room smelt terribly of smoke despite being a no-smoking room. It was so bad to the point that my bag even smelt of it when I left. The room was very dated, bar closed very early.

perfect start to new years, good pints too
This is a beautiful place with lots of facilities available. reception and bar staff were polite and welcoming, especially the reception staff. The room was clean, a few scuffs like gum on the carpet but otherwise the room itself was perfect, the bath was wonderful, too.

Business trip, then stayed for a couple of days to visit the area. Was a nice location, the only down side was the very busy car park, which was at capacity the whole time. Nice amenities, staff friendly. Adequate food and drink provision. Some decor seemed a bit dated. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, beautiful reception area and helpful staff when checking in, the room was nice and clean, unfortunately there was no information in the room regarding the resturant or the room service that is advertised, no menu and no alternative options close by for when the resturant is fully booked (which it was). Also the beds were not very comfortable, very very firm and although this is personal choice we both struggled to sleep well which is unfortunate. The breakfast was delicious though, lovely service, well laid out and a lot of choice. Lovely touch having the dedicated gluten free toaster and choices for coeliacs. Lots of parking however this was all full and finding a space was very difficult, ended up having to park on grass in an area designed for golfers and not overnight guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return but would like to try different beds!

Lovely location. Parking a nightmare and we had to park 100 meters away on a field a car park. Sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi nice but looking a bit tatty. Bed was too hard, I had worse nights sleep ever and woke up in agony.

The staff were lovely, although needed more. Waited 15 mins in a queue to check in, which was tricky with bags/luggage. The room was nice and clean enough. No window, but was sold as such. My only concern was directly outside my room, and my first view, was a clutter of 'stuff' including canvases, lampshades, chairs and other bits and bobs blocking a corridor area. There was an "attempt' to hide it with a small screen and a chair but it didnt look good and I felt was a fire risk? This sadly let a lovely hotel down for me.

Last minute stay.
Decided last minute to have a ‘Mums’ night off. Setting is lovely, check in seemed a bit slow as only one member of staff on duty and he was unfortunately dealing with a complaint. But ultimately polite and efficient. The lobby was bright and clean. We had booked a ‘quad’ room for 2 adults which meant two double beds. The room was well proportioned, bright and clean. The bathroom was a bit tired and considering this room was potentially for 4 guests there was only one set of toiletries. The beds were very comfy although one was very noisy. We didn’t book breakfast, so can’t comment. Again only one staff member at checkout and it was busy. But everything went smoothly and she even made time to arrange a taxi. Will definitely stay again, with some planning this time to fully spore the facilities.

The male bar staff working were just so unbelievably rude on both occasions when going to order drinks, to the point we went back to our room for the evening, felt like we didn’t want to spend anymore of our money there. Then In the middle of the night we had a person banging on our bedroom Window ( we were on the ground floor) and throwing stones at the window which woke us all up.

Lovely hotel and suite shame about the service
We got to the hotel at night and we had to wait 10mins to check in and the next day we ordered dinner at the hotel restaurant and we had to wait an hour for the food to be served.
