“Lovely hotel”

Very comfortable hotel with fantastic breakfast. So pleased it was included in the room rate! Pool and gym facitilies very good and beautiful setting. I had no complaints at all with my stay.

Great value...just get used to the long walk from the bedrooms to the restaurant...but it's worth it!

“Weekend escape”

Pleasant parkland setting; lovely to walk in the grounds. Warm greeting at Reception and quality conversation. Quite a distance to our room through 2 covered walkways, but easy to find once we'd negotiated the corridors first time. Room quiet and comfortable. Spa facilities and pool excellent. Restaurant had excellent menu, food and service. Playing Titanic theme on Sunday 15th April as 100th anniversary - a nice touch- at breakfast. Only improvement would be to have 2 easy chairs in bedroom for reading. One and a normal chair not user friendly on vacation.

The long driveway up to the Norton Park Hotel seemed a good sign - more rural than we'd expected, but still less than 30 minutes from winchester. A mainly modern hotel, but with a small number of 'deluxe rooms' in a much older manor house. The hotel was nicely furnished and very clean. The staff were efficient but not especially friendly. The gym and pool areas were very good. At breakfast, the buffet offered a reasonable choice, but was not as inviting as the menu suggested! Food in the bar was very nice, though overpriced for some rather small portions. Overall, an enjoyable stay, and good value for money, with Expedia offering better rates than some of the competition!

“Comfortable but sdprawling hotel.”

This hotel is comfortable, clean, has a good sized pool and fitness suite, and is good value for money, including full breakfast. It is a little remote, but that is a matter of choice whether it is a plus or minus! The main quirk of the place is that it as spread over at lerast three connected buildings. When I say connected, they are joined by semi-enclosed glass corridors which are slightly open to the elements and are therefore very cold on a cold day. I would say that my room. in the farthest building from reception, was at leastr a quarter mile walk down endless corridors. If that doesn't bother you, it is a good place to stay in a pleasant rural location.

“Not bad, watch out for the dogs”

Stayed for the weekend and it was quite busy. Location is way out so you must have a car to go out to eat or cinema etc. Plus side it is quiet. Room standard set up, very modern and clean. Grounds huge and well maintained. Breakfast, avoid peak times as understaffed and not coping at all, tables not cleared away and shortages of some food items. Got up early on second day and much better experience. Shocked to see dogs allowed in rooms (not dog specific either) and one dog was at breakfast not even on a lead! Pool and gym were great, pool got busy so loungers not always available. So apart from the dogs and peak breakfast problem hotel is fine for a weekend. Winchester is 10 mins away.

“Long weekend”

A nice business hotel but we didn't find it ideal for a leisure break. The room was on the small side and the spa staff unhelpful.

“Not impressed”

We arrived very late, and after a long-haul flight. Although the rooms were quite small, they were appointed very nicely (modern appliances and design throughout). This is where the 'good' ends. Walls were paper thin and one would be able to hear people *snore* (no kidding) through walls. Thanks god we had ear plugs. Not what you would expect from a 'resort' style hotel. There was a swimming pool. It was extremely small, and enclosed in a rather claustrophobic area of the hotel's patio. Breakfast was quite an experience. Queue would be about 15 meters long at times. Brings you back to your 'school cafeteria' times.
