Girlie one night stayPosted Nov 24, 2013
My 2 adult daughters and I were going to a nearby spa for a birthday treat and needed somewhere to stay the night before. We were greeted and made very welcome by a smart friendly lady and shown to our room, spacious and comfy and super clean. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Staff are well trained and friendly and the whole place is dedicated to cycling wall art, most impressive. We enjoyed our brief visit and would recommend it as a good holiday base.

We found the hotel comfortable, the mattress on the bed was slightly lumpy but this did not stop us having a good nights sleep. The breakfast was more than adequate. There was plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful. The location was ideal for us.

Stay here.Posted Apr 30, 2013
Pros: Very clean. Great staff.
Cons: My room did face the A337. Not terribly noisy though.
Location: In Lyndhurst, Hampshire, UK. Walking distance to plenty of services. Easy drive to anywhere in The New Forest.
I had a single room. As European and UK hotels go, it was quite roomy. Great staff, good breakfast served, and plenty of good restaurants available for other meals.

get a normal room not attic space ?Posted Nov 13, 2012
Cons: attic room
Location: easy walking distance off restaraunts an excellent indian just up the road
we was given an attic room which was ok, but you have to lean to walk to the side of the bed and remember not to stand up straight when you get out of bed or you get a head ache. no radiator in bathroom hence like a fridge. overall the hotel was fine with an excellent breakfast

Penny Farthing Hotel - LyndhurstPosted Aug 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
Absolutely delighted with hotel. Booked on basis of previous reviews. Warm welcome from staff, we stayed in a triple room (double and single beds) and were very pleased (and surprised) with size of room. Breakfasts are fantastic and really set you up for the day! Car Park can get very busy, but wasn't an issue. Hotel on very busy road but noise from traffic didn't cause any problem at nighttime. Would definitely recommend and hope to return. Thanks to all the staff again.

A most hospitable 'B&B'. Friendly staff, comfortable room, decent breakfast. Handy for the centre of Lyndhurst too.
